My husband and I are expecting twin girls this summer We’ve decided on [name_f]Clara[/name_f] for one name but need some help narrowing down our list. Style wise, my husband likes ‘strong’ names ([name_f]Vera[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Petra[/name_f]). I love everything about [name_f]Clara[/name_f] - something that works well for all ages, is timeless, sophisticated, classy and feminine without being frilly. Our hope is that both girls will love their name and not feel like ‘[name_f]Clara[/name_f] got the better name’
Some possible middle names to honor family are [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_f]Lauren[/name_f].
Are you planning on having more kids? Because if you do and you picked [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] you’d be kind of forcing yourself to pick another C name for the fourth child too

We’re not planning to have any other children, and I think it would be special for the the girl’s names to start with different letters so I’ll probably move Catherine to a middle name contender (or consider spelling it Katherine).
Our last name starts with a ‘T’ (2 syllables) - would this be a mouth full with Juliet?

I love [name_f]Vera[/name_f], but unfortunately for me it’s a little too similar in sound to [name_f]Clara[/name_f] what with both being two syllables and both ending in –ra (same for [name_f]Petra[/name_f]). Instead perhaps [name_f]Vesta[/name_f], [name_f]Vanna[/name_f], [name_f]Veda[/name_f], [name_f]Viola[/name_f] or [name_f]Velma[/name_f]?
My favorite with [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is [name_f]Iris[/name_f]! I also like [name_f]Vera[/name_f] (even though it’s matchy), [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], and [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] (if you’re okay with all your children having a C name).
[name_f]Petra[/name_f] and [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] are great names, but are both very unusual compared to [name_f]Clara[/name_f]. I could see them being sisters with each other, but not so much with [name_f]Clara[/name_f]. [name_u]Lisa[/name_u] is pretty too, but it’s very dated, so it’s hard to imagine [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_u]Lisa[/name_u] as siblings.
