Hi!
we’re expecting twin girls mid July (so soon!). I am struggling to find names I love equally and that flow well together.
We’ve decided to name twin A Isabella nn Bella.
My favourite combo at the moment is Bella and Evie! I love Evie as a nickname, especially paired with Bella, but not as a stand alone name paired with Isabella. I’m trying to find a name I love as much, that Evie could be short for. My partner likes Evelyn, but I’m not 100% sold. Evangeline is too christian for me and don’t like Eve/Eva with Isabella. Everly is growing on me more and more…but I’m not sure whether it flows well with Isabella also style-wise?
I don’t want names that are too matchy, but they should sound good together.
We’re also still open to new suggestions for baby B.
These are a couple of names we like:
Charlotte, Mila, Alice, Amelia, Matilda
Another favourite of mine is Emily, but that’s my sister’s name, so obviously that’s not an option.
[name_u]Welcome[/name_u] to Nameberry, and congratulations!!
I think [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] are incredibly sweet together, but here are some other names that could get you the name Evie!!
I don’t think I would use Matilda (Bella & Tilly) though it’s perhaps the nicknames not as close I thought, they are balanced names…but I don’t think Mila quite holds up against Isabella. Alice is OK but possibly too prim/tailored next to Isabella, and tricky with twins bestowing different names (though def don’t want matchy matchy!). Amelia works - Bella & Millie/Amy/Lily.
Take or leave: I’m also a fan of Arabella, Sybella, or Mirabella - for something a little rarer than Isabelle.
[name_f]My[/name_f] first thought was [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] “Bella” and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] “Evie”! I’ve also met a little [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] who went by [name_f]Evie[/name_f], which is a little more of a stretch but I think still works and goes well with [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]. For something a little more direct, maybe [name_f]Evelina[/name_f]?
I definitely think [name_f]Evelina[/name_f] would be beautiful with [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]! They’re the most stylistically matched, and you’d get your favorite nicknames!
But if you’re still interested in other names, here are some ideas:
Thank you for all your lovely ideas and suggestions!
Now that so many of you said you think [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] & [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] sound so sweet together it’s beginning to grow on me. I also love [name_f]Eveline[/name_f] as an alternative!
[name_f]My[/name_f] partner is not too keen on [name_f]Evelina[/name_f].
Any thoughts on [name_u]Everly[/name_u]? Is it too out there?
There are so many new suggestions I loved - the ones I liked the most were [name_f]Luna[/name_f], [name_f]Freya[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]! However the more I think about it, the more I don’t want to let [name_f]Evie[/name_f] go just yet
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] (If pronounced EEV-len or EEV-lin, otherwise I prefer Alice)

Aww, pity, [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Eva[/name_f] are my favorites - and I think popularity wise, [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] make a great match! Stylistically maybe not so much, though. Have you considered [name_f]Evelina[/name_f] or Evarosa or something along those lines? [name_u]Or[/name_u] even Eveliese/Evalise? More unusual but I think they fit well with the romantic [name_f]Isabella[/name_f].
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] go great together. I like [name_f]Evelina[/name_f] and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] from everybody else’s suggestions. I think [name_u]Everly[/name_u] works ok. It is a bit different stylistically that [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] but they’re both quite popular currently so they don’t feel out of place together.
