wondering if I could get advise on names for my twin girls due in [name]December[/name]. I have some limiting factors to consider, first my last name is green. Secondly the middle names have been picked and are the childrens grandmothers names, [name]Jeanne[/name] and [name]Mary[/name]. Here are our top contenders:
My husband and I are set on [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Jeanne[/name], my husband likes [name]Skye[/name] with it best. I’m just feeling like [name]Lucy[/name], [name]Skye[/name] and [name]Jude[/name] are too much. Also not loving the way [name]Skye[/name] goes with [name]Mary[/name]. But it is just a middle name for honor and would not be used everyday. I also like [name]Lucy[/name] and [name]Gracie[/name] but is it too matchy? Thanks for the input!
[name]Lucy[/name] [name]Jeanne[/name] is really cute! I agree that [name]Lucy[/name] and [name]Skye[/name] remind me of the song. I think [name]Mary[/name] goes better as a first name - [name]Mary[/name] [name]Grace[/name], [name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name], etc. I like [name]Stella[/name], but [name]Stella[/name] [name]Mary[/name] seems to short to me. There are many names that include [name]Mary[/name], like [name]Marilyn[/name], [name]Marion[/name], [name]MaryAnne[/name]- would you consider those?
[name]Skye[/name] [name]Mary[/name] and [name]Grace[/name] [name]Mary[/name] [name]Green[/name] don’t flow very well. They sound clipped. So, I think [name]Stella[/name] [name]Mary[/name] [name]Green[/name] sounds better.
[name]Lucy[/name] [name]Jeanne[/name] and [name]Stella[/name] [name]Mary[/name] would be lovely for twin girls. Personally, I wouldn’t use another word name like [name]Grace[/name] and [name]Skye[/name] with your surname [name]Green[/name].
I agree with mischa. [name]Lucy[/name] and [name]Stella[/name] are the two that I think fit best together. They’re well known names with a hint of vintage left in them. [name]Grace[/name] has some of that, but it doesn’t work as well with your surname. If you had [name]Lucy[/name] and [name]Skye[/name], I would think of the song first just as rachelf said. [name]Lucy[/name], [name]Stella[/name], and [name]Jude[/name] would make a fantastic group
[name]Lucy[/name] & [name]Stella[/name] are my favourites by a mile! [name]Lovely[/name] together, and with [name]Jude[/name].
[name]Lucy[/name] and [name]Gracie[/name] are too similar in my opinion, especially for twins.
Personally, I wouldn’t use [name]Skye[/name] either - I see it as a better fit with sibling names like [name]Riley[/name], [name]Mason[/name] & [name]Mackenzie[/name] than the more classic and sophisticated (in my opinion) [name]Jude[/name] & [name]Lucy[/name].
I really like [name]Jude[/name], [name]Lucy[/name], and [name]Grace[/name].
Not too keen on [name]Skye[/name] as a name at all, or [name]Stella[/name], but that is just my personal taste.
You seem to like names that are short and sweet. A few names I can suggest:
I would advise against [name]Skye[/name] because I’ll bet she’d have to go through school (and probably the rest of her life) with people telling her, “The sky is blue, not green!” (referring to your surname). Also, I don’t think [name]Skye[/name] fits very well with classic names like [name]Lucy[/name] and [name]Jude[/name].
[name]Grace[/name] is beautiful name and I love how soft and innocent it sounds, but I think the repeating Gr- sounds of [name]Grace[/name] [name]Green[/name] are a little much. Plus I don’t love how [name]Grace[/name] [name]Mary[/name] [name]Green[/name] flows.
[name]Stella[/name] is beautiful, sweet and almost ethereal sounding. I think it fits nicely with [name]Lucy[/name] and [name]Jude[/name], and [name]Stella[/name] [name]Mary[/name] [name]Green[/name] flows really nicely. So I’d go with [name]Stella[/name].
Well in the end it was [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_u]Skye[/name_u] born 12/3/12… I thank you for all the advise and felt I had to do it. And glad I did. Everyone loves their names. Or they are lying to me, either way I don’t care… Currently I’m having my four a girl…thinking, [name_u]Penny[/name_u], [name_f]Ella[/name_f] or [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]…any thoughts?
