Twins. Harrison and?

I am 34 weeks with twin boys. These guys could come at any time! We knew we wanted one name to start with an H to honor 3 out of our 4 grandfathers all with H names (harlan, howard, harry). I held on to [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] for a long time but have decided that [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] fills the purpose of honoring these men better. Which of the names below do you think pairs the best with [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any other suggestions? Our last name is Strand. Nicknames would be either [name_m]Harry[/name_m] or [name_u]Sonny[/name_u]. Is having two nick names ending with the “E” sound too matchy? Example…sonny and rocky…

[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Fisher[/name_m]- nn [name_m]Fish[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Walter[/name_m]- nn [name_m]Walt[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Rockwell[/name_m]- nn [name_m]Rocky[/name_m]- name of the train station by our apartment
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Bernard[/name_m]- nn [name_u]Bernie[/name_u]- loosely relates to my brother and fathers name

Thank you for reading!

I’ve always liked [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] together. From your list, I like [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Walter[/name_m] the best.

I’m not really a fan of any of the names you have suggested to go with [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] but I think I prefer [name_m]Bernard[/name_m] to the rest of the names.

From your list I would choose [name_u]Walker[/name_u], but I really like [name_u]Mischa[/name_u]'s suggestion of [name_u]Spencer[/name_u].

I like [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Fisher[/name_m] the best with [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Rockwell[/name_m] coming in at a close second.

The only one I like is [name_m]Walter[/name_m]. I wouldn’t want to be called “[name_m]Fish[/name_m]”, [name_m]Rockwell[/name_m] doesn’t translate to use as a first name as well as other surnames do, and [name_m]Bernard[/name_m] nn [name_u]Bernie[/name_u] is just unattractive to me. What about [name_u]James[/name_u]? Really, I think you need to use another name with a family connection. You don’t want one twin to feel left out.

[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Cabot[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] (Presidential)
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Ford[/name_m] (Presidential & Hollywood)
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] (slightly matchy)
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]George[/name_m] (Beatles)
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_u]Reed[/name_u] or [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] (law firm?)
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Cole[/name_m] or [name_m]Corbet[/name_m] or [name_u]Drew[/name_u] or [name_u]Gray[/name_u]

I’d just check out the family tree and find another great surname!

[name_m]Fisher[/name_m] is adorable, but [name_m]Fish[/name_m] is just odd.

I think out of your choices, I’d pick [name_m]Walter[/name_m], but I know there are many I’d like better. No offense.

[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_u]Chandler[/name_u]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Jackson[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Colin[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Harvey[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_u]Elliot[/name_u]

[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Walter[/name_m] are best from your list

[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_u]Reed[/name_u]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Andrew[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Pierce[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Eugene[/name_m]

I love [name_m]Harris[/name_m], but not as crazy about [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]. I love [name_m]Walter[/name_m] from your list! [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] and [name_m]Walter[/name_m] would also be adorable.

I have a friend with a [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Jackson[/name_m]!

[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] & [name_m]Greyson[/name_m]?

Umm [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] is nice…?? Or [name_m]Harvey[/name_m].

Thanks for all the feedback. [name_m]Reading[/name_m] these posts is making me change my mind again! [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] is difficult to match with the other names I like and maybe would make a better middle name. Back to the drawing board! Thanks again everyone.

What about…

[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Foster[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_u]Parker[/name_u]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_u]Avery[/name_u]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Bryant[/name_m]

I see you changed your mind and I dropped by to say that it would be very difficut to choose a perfect name for his twin. I love [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] but [name_f]IMO[/name_f] it’s better when you use it with a singleton. It’s too hard to make a perfect combination when it comes to [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] because in many cases twin names which also stand for surnames can sound like a fancy law firm.

I really like the name [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] but have to agree that it is hard to “match.”

I like [name_m]Harris[/name_m] and [name_m]Bernard[/name_m] as twins - [name_m]Harry[/name_m] and [name_m]Bo[/name_m]

I also love [name_m]Harlan[/name_m] which may be easier to match. [name_m]Harlan[/name_m] and [name_m]Jasper[/name_m], [name_m]Harlan[/name_m] and [name_u]Spencer[/name_u], [name_m]Harlan[/name_m] and [name_m]Brant[/name_m]?

I like [name_m]Bernard[/name_m] or [name_m]Rockwell[/name_m]

I like [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Fisher[/name_m] or [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Rockwell[/name_m] out of your choices…
However, I think
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Hendrix[/name_m] would be a good twin set…
[name_m]Both[/name_m] H names with different sounds, and less common names…
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Gibson[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Landon[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_u]Colby[/name_u]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Lennon[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Ryder[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and Patch
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Anders[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and Ackery
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_u]Cameron[/name_u]

[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Bernard[/name_m] is very cute. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t love [name_u]Bernie[/name_u] as a nn though. What about the nn [name_m]Bear[/name_m] for [name_m]Bernard[/name_m]. [name_u]Sonny[/name_u] and [name_m]Bear[/name_m] is pretty cute!
Like the suggestion of [name_m]Lincon[/name_m] too.
Was [name_m]Fletcher[/name_m] mentioned? Simalar sound to [name_m]Fisher[/name_m] (my second choice from your list) but with the more appealing nn [name_m]Fletch[/name_m]
3rd choice is [name_m]Walter[/name_m].

Good luck.

I like [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Bernard[/name_m] best, but I’m not sold on nickname [name_u]Bernie[/name_u].

Not sure if you thought about this. If you nickname one [name_m]Harry[/name_m], do you realize his name will be [name_m]Harry[/name_m] Strand. It looks great when you read it, but to hear it, you might think “hairy strand.” Maybe I am way off on this one. It may be something to think about, especially when he is in grade school. I named my son [name_u]Cal[/name_u]. I love the name and it looks great on paper, but when asked what his name is some people hear Cow. I have to correct them and sometimes regret naming him that.

However, I love the name [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]! My first choice would be [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Walter[/name_m]. My second choice would be [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Fisher[/name_m]. Again, shortening it to [name_m]Fish[/name_m] would mean he would be call [name_m]Fish[/name_m] Strand. [name_m]Just[/name_m] food for thought!
