Hi, all! On the hunt for a 2 syllable name that fits a sweet, loving temperament. Bonus points if it’s got a nickname built in!

Full disclosure, it’s for a puppy! I’ve posted in the pet names forum when we decided we were getting him, but now that he’s about 5 weeks and looking more like an actual Golden pup, I feel like we need a little more help. This topic usually gets a few more viewers :wink:

Some tops names from our current list:

I’m not sure if any of these are “the one” but we do really like them all. We prefer 2 syllable names — Goose is the exception. What do you think?!

I think [name_u]Denver[/name_u] suits him perfectly! He just has the sweetness of a little [name_u]Denver[/name_u].

I would call that fellow [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] because he’s adorable!

Thank you all so much! There are some really great suggestions here. I’m now sad because my husband said he doesn’t “see” [name_u]Denver[/name_u] and I was actually thinking that could be the one!

The top contender right now is Goose, which has been in my top 2 favorites. I’m going to share some of your suggestions with him and see if we can find a 2 syllable one that we may like even more than Goose.

@esita [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] would be great! It’s unusable for us, however, due to a family member having that name.

[name_f]Maple[/name_f] is amazing for a golden girl!

Goose!

This was one I’ve loved since we decided to bring him home, and I even told my best friend a few weeks ago that I just felt like it was his name. I got cold feet about it this week, but my husband and I both love it (as do our friends and family) and it just feels right.

Excited to bring little Goosey home in a few short weeks! Thanks for all your help!
