Hi, all! On the hunt for a 2 syllable name that fits a sweet, loving temperament. Bonus points if it’s got a nickname built in!
Full disclosure, it’s for a puppy! I’ve posted in the pet names forum when we decided we were getting him, but now that he’s about 5 weeks and looking more like an actual Golden pup, I feel like we need a little more help. This topic usually gets a few more viewers
Some tops names from our current list:
Kramer
Denver
Goose
Winston
Harvey
I’m not sure if any of these are “the one” but we do really like them all. We prefer 2 syllable names — Goose is the exception. What do you think?!
And, because we could all use some happy — here’s a pic of him today! (We get him in 3 weeks!).
[name_u]Denver[/name_u] is adorable! If I had a pup, I’d probably call them [name_f]Brinkley[/name_f] after the pooch in the movie You’ve Got [name_m]Mail[/name_m].
Oh my gosh ! How sweet is this face
I love [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] , so that would be my vote!
What about
[name_u]Oakley[/name_u]
[name_m]Bishop[/name_m]
[name_m]Barclay[/name_m]
[name_m]Otis[/name_m]
[name_m]Kingston[/name_m]
[name_m]Allan[/name_m]
Archer/ [name_m]Archie[/name_m]
Thank you all so much! There are some really great suggestions here. I’m now sad because my husband said he doesn’t “see” [name_u]Denver[/name_u] and I was actually thinking that could be the one!
The top contender right now is Goose, which has been in my top 2 favorites. I’m going to share some of your suggestions with him and see if we can find a 2 syllable one that we may like even more than Goose.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] following up with a quick update — we’ve landed on a name…
Goose!
This was one I’ve loved since we decided to bring him home, and I even told my best friend a few weeks ago that I just felt like it was his name. I got cold feet about it this week, but my husband and I both love it (as do our friends and family) and it just feels right.
Excited to bring little Goosey home in a few short weeks! Thanks for all your help!
