I think [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] for a girl is so sweet!! I think given that traditional “boy” names are being increasingly used for girls that it would totally work. I know a little girl named [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] and it’s just the cutest!
(And I actually think it sounds really nice with [name_m]Tucker[/name_m])
A few more names in the same vein…
[name_u]Charlie[/name_u]
[name_f]Bobbi[/name_f]/[name_u]Bobby[/name_u]
[name_u]Finley[/name_u]

[name_u]Tyler[/name_u] on a girl could work. I’m not a fan of the name in general, but objectively it feels similar to [name_u]Taylor[/name_u], [name_u]Skylar[/name_u], [name_f]Twyla[/name_f], [name_f]Kyla[/name_f] etc. so it could be cute. [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] is a bit rhymey but it also has a nice ring to it
I used to like the idea of [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] on a girl, but since then I have gone off it despite hearing of female [name_u]Tyler[/name_u]/[name_f]Tyla[/name_f]'s.
I definitely think it could work though, it’s just not for me.
I voted yes, not because I think it’s cute but I think it works. Here’s why:
[name_u]Tyler[/name_u] is becoming dated for boys. It probably peaked in the late 80s/early 90s. Sometimes names that are past their prime are reinvented for girls - like [name_u]Ryan[/name_u], [name_u]Dylan[/name_u], [name_u]Taylor[/name_u], [name_u]Cameron[/name_u], etc. [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] fits right in with those.
If it was a boy name that is currently very popular I’d refrain. I know a girl called [name_u]Logan[/name_u] and find it weird.
Honestly, I find [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] to be a bit dated for boys and girls. It’s something I could easily imagine on someone around my age (20) or older, and I know several (including a couple girls). It’s kinda meh for me. It definitely works fine on a girl.
