I have never liked the name tyler on a boy, but recently came across it on a girl and, to my surprise, loved it. I love the combo “[name_u]Tyler[/name_u] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]” …thoughts?
I have many male friends named [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] and have met many more that I’m not friends with. Strictly a male name to me, sorry. [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] is all right, but I find [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] to be a very strong name, so if you were to use [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] I’d match it with a softer name such as [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], or something like that
Eh, not my thing. I know a little girl called [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] (unusual for a girl in the UK) and she’s sweet but I don’t particularly like it.
What about [name_f]Tyra[/name_f]?
I have to agree – I know too many boy Tylers, liked and disliked, making it strictly boy for me (and I think that with all the Tylers running around, to be gender confused as well as confused with the wrong [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] works further against it).
What about [name_u]Skyler[/name_u]? I know it’s not the same name, but very nearly…
I do also like [name_u]Skylar[/name_u] ([name_u]Skylar[/name_u] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]). That name has been on my list for a while. I know tyler is pushing the limits a bit…but I had to ask…really like something about it but you guys are probably right…not very useable.
I know a girl named [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] and have an acquaintance named [name_f]Tylah[/name_f] (I say them the same). I think it’s usable if [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] works why not [name_u]Tyler[/name_u]?
I like the [name_m]Ty[/name_m] part the best. Otherwise Its kind of cool, since its uncommon on a girl. You may like:
[name_f]Tayla[/name_f]
[name_f]Talia[/name_f]
[name_f]Tyla[/name_f] (not [name_f]Tylah[/name_f])
[name_f]Twyla[/name_f] (really cool!)
[name_u]Tyson[/name_u]
[name_m]Tye[/name_m] (Super cute
Tylie
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f]
[name_u]Toby[/name_u]
I know a female [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] who is about 12 years old. It works, but I don’t really like it. I love the previous suggestion of [name_f]Twyla[/name_f].
I knew a girl called [name_f]Tylah[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Tylah[/name_f]/[name_f]Tyla[/name_f] would be better for a girl because [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] for me at least is very much a boy’s name.
Oh no… there it goes… another perfectly good boy name going to the girls… come back [name_u]Tyler[/name_u]… come baaaaack…
Sorry, but I think of the Fight Club every time I hear [name_u]Tyler[/name_u]. [name_m]Even[/name_m] on a boy. I like the previous suggestions of [name_f]Tyra[/name_f], [name_f]Twyla[/name_f] and [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like any of these?
If you are bound to use [name_u]Tyler[/name_u], I’d advice on using a soft, girly middle name, like [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Arabella[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Victoria[/name_f], by the way.
Please don’t
[name_u]Tyler[/name_u] is too masculine for a girl, [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
I kinda like the suggestion of [name_f]Twyla[/name_f]… But then it makes me think twilight. [name_f]Tyla[/name_f] is ok but to me it sounds incomplete.
[name_m]Don[/name_m]'t worry everyone, I probably won’t use it. It just struck a curiosity in me. I am actually surprised I liked it… As I am so sad that [name_u]Addison[/name_u] went to the girls! (would still use [name_u]Addison[/name_u] on a boy for sure).
