Please post your favorite three syllable names that end in ie or y
My list is
[name]Ainsley[/name]
[name]Delaney[/name]
[name]Amelie[/name]
[name]Natalie[/name] - not uncommon, but a gp of mine
[name]Elodie[/name]
[name]Reverie[/name]
Ivalie
What have you got?
My favourites that aren’t too popular:
[name]Razili[/name] - does this count? it properly ends in just an i, not an ie. A few ending in -e are here too but all have the -ee sound.
[name]Ione[/name]
[name]Jessamy[/name]
[name]Verity[/name]
[name]Cicely[/name]
[name]Iole[/name]
[name]Noemie[/name]
[name]Coralie[/name]
Betony
[name]Clarity[/name]
[name]Bryony[/name]
[name]Liberty[/name]
Belphoebe
Cleome
[name]Ianthe[/name]
[name]Calanthe[/name]
[name]Evanthe[/name]
[name]Sigourney[/name]
I really like the endings in question, butI’m just afraid that some of these gorgeous, historical names will be thought of as “trendy” because of the whole [name]Kaylee[/name]/[name]Hailey[/name]/[name]Riley[/name]-and-whatever thing. Besides the ones that are already mentioned, I love:
These aren’t necessarily my favorite names, but I bought of them…
[name]Destiny[/name]
[name]Trinity[/name]
[name]Serenity[/name]
[name]Tiffany[/name]
[name]Stephanie[/name]
[name]Bethany[/name]
[name]Wellesley[/name]
[name]Mallory[/name]
I don’t like this name myself, and have never actually seen or heard it anywhere else, but i know a girl named Genessey (pronounced jen-ess-ee) who insists that is a legitimate name. Definitely fits the uncommon 3-syllable ends in y criteria, if it is a real name.
