Unique Nicknames for Caroline

Our Caroline arrived several weeks ago, and I’m still undecided about a nickname, if any. Caroline feels like a mouthful for such a tiny baby, although we hope she uses it someday. Looking for unique nickname options for her. Traditional ones - Carol, Cara, Carrie, and Callie - are out for various reasons. I know this isn’t a new topic - I’ve seen a couple Nameberry boards with suggestions like Nina, Lila, Cora, etc - are those too much of a stretch? I also like Caro and Calla. Any other suggestions?

My favorite is Caddie! I also love Rollie / Rolly, Ollie, & Ina

I’m partial to [name_m]Rolly[/name_m] (RAW-lee), [name_f]Collie[/name_f], [name_f]Ro[/name_f], and [name_f]Lo[/name_f] myself!

Cece or Rara could be cutsy ones. Maybe Rory?

I don’t think Caroline to too long though maybe Im biased because we call our baby Isabelle! I like having 3 syllables to play with

[name_f]My[/name_f] absolute favourite from those mentioned is [name_u]Caro[/name_u]

I’ve always liked [name_u]Caro[/name_u] for a nickname for [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], but you could also use [name_f]Lina[/name_f], [name_f]Carly[/name_f], [name_u]Cal[/name_u], [name_f]Callia[/name_f] - maybe [name_f]Cora[/name_f] as well?

[name_u]Caro[/name_u] or [name_f]Cece[/name_f]

I like [name_f]Carly[/name_f] for a baby.

[name_u]Caro[/name_u], [name_f]Cara[/name_f], and [name_f]Calla[/name_f] are all beautiful and ones I would use, I can’t see any drawbacks to them. A unique one I’d recommend is [name_m]Chuck[/name_m], I know it’s very unisex/masculine leaning but certainly qualifies as unusual and not unheard of for [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]

[name_u]Caro[/name_u] and [name_f]Calla[/name_f] are nice

[name_f]Lila[/name_f] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f] could work

Maybe…

[name_f]Clio[/name_f]
Caz
[name_u]Coco[/name_u]
[name_m]Cole[/name_m]
[name_u]Connie[/name_u]?
[name_u]Cai[/name_u] (like Kai/Ky)
[name_f]Cosy[/name_f]
[name_u]Cricket[/name_u]
[name_f]Cookie[/name_f]
[name_u]Cal[/name_u]
[name_m]Rolo[/name_m]

I think a nickname can be anything you want so sure, the stretchy ones you listed work.
Others:
[name_f]Carly[/name_f]
[name_u]Ari[/name_u]
[name_u]Ollie[/name_u]
[name_f]Lina[/name_f]
[name_u]Connie[/name_u]
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u]
[name_u]Charlie[/name_u]
[name_f]Carla[/name_f]
[name_f]Alina[/name_f]
[name_f]Cece[/name_f]
But I also don’t think [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is too long for a baby. [name_f]My[/name_f] name is [name_f]Samantha[/name_f] and I went by that exclusively until I was 16 so three syllables can work just fine on a little kid.

[name_u]Caro[/name_u] is great

I love [name_u]Caro[/name_u] ! One of my favourite characters in a book / novel is nicknamed [name_u]Caro[/name_u]

It occured to me that [name_u]Arrow[/name_u] from ‘aro’ could be an unusual nn for [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. You could also perhaps have Cline. What about her initials - first and middle, first and last - C is a promising starting letter for an initial nn!

[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite is definitely [name_u]Caro[/name_u]!

Other ideas…
[name_f]Ro[/name_f]
[name_f]Lina[/name_f]
[name_u]Ollie[/name_u]
[name_m]Rolly[/name_m]
[name_f]Collie[/name_f]
[name_u]Connie[/name_u]
Cee / [name_f]Cece[/name_f]

At a stretch, [name_u]Arlo[/name_u]? [name_u]Or[/name_u] Charlie/Charley, since [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is a form of [name_u]Charles[/name_u].
