Of these names, which do you think best suits a little girl? Are any of them too masculine? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any other unisex or boy name suggestions that you like on a girl?
For a girl, my favourites from your list are [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] and [name_u]Elliott[/name_u]. Really like these two. [name_u]James[/name_u] is nice, too. The others are not my style, for a boy or a girl, but I think they work fine for either sex.
Some unisex and boys names I like for girls include:
I think the only one here that is a a bit too masculine would be [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m], and maybe [name_u]Mason[/name_u]. I love [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] from your list though. I think that possibly you could change the names around a little bit to make them look and sound more feminine, such as:
[name_u]Cameron[/name_u] - [name_u]Camryn[/name_u]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u] - [name_f]Macy[/name_f]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] - [name_f]Noa[/name_f]
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u] - [name_f]Rowena[/name_f]
The only one that I can picture on a girl is [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] (and maybe [name_u]Cameron[/name_u], a la [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] [name_u]Diaz[/name_u]). I don’t like the rest. They are boys names.
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u] works well. [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] would be my second favourite.
Some other suggestions:
[name_u]Jamie[/name_u]
[name_u]Frankie[/name_u]
[name_u]River[/name_u]
[name_u]Marley[/name_u]
[name_u]Harley[/name_u]
[name_u]Marlow[/name_u]
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
My favorite is probably [name_u]Dylan[/name_u].
Some other suggestions:
[name_f]Adrienne[/name_f]
[name_u]Ashton[/name_u]
[name_u]Bailey[/name_u]
[name_u]Bentley[/name_u]
[name_u]Dakota[/name_u]
[name_u]Devon[/name_u]
[name_u]Jordan[/name_u]
Dylan - I had never thought of this as a girls name until I saw the Disney movie Geek Charming, the main character (female) is called [name_u]Dylan[/name_u]. I think its really lovely.
Cameron - I see this as a boys name, and if it weren’t for [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] [name_u]Diaz[/name_u] I’d probably not even consider it as a girls name. But [name_u]Cam[/name_u] and [name_f]Cammy[/name_f] are very unisex nicknames. I actually like Cameryn or [name_u]Camryn[/name_u].
James - BOYS NAME! I kind of like it as a middle name only on a girl, as a very serious guilty pleasure. But really I think this should stay on the boys side. I feel like people have decided what the most boyish boys name is, and tried to make it into a girls! I do though have a soft spot for Jamesley
on a girl.
Mason - Its a boys name, but I guess in a way I can see it on a girl. Its not too different to [name_f]Macy[/name_f].
Noah - I like it on a girl. Spelt this way, not [name_f]Noa[/name_f].
Sawyer - I like [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] on a girl, but prefer [name_u]Saylor[/name_u]
Rowan - I’ve known two girls with this name, and one boy (spelt [name_u]Rohan[/name_u].) I’d say this is actually unisex
Elliott - I can see it on a girl. I knew a girl called [name_u]Ellis[/name_u] and there’s the option of [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] or [name_f]Elle[/name_f] or even [name_f]Ella[/name_f] as a nickname.
Not sure if you’re looking for suggestions, but I also like [name_u]Lennon[/name_u]/[name_u]Lennox[/name_u], [name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_u]Parker[/name_u], [name_u]Hayden[/name_u] and [name_u]Marley[/name_u].
None of them suit a girl. Maybe [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] if I should pick one, or [name_f]Noa[/name_f] without the H. [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m], [name_u]Noah[/name_u], [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] & [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] are 100% masculine. They are old names with an etymology, roots, a meaning, and an associated gender.
Maybe Elliette / [name_f]Eliette[/name_f]?
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u]- fine on a girl
[name_u]Cameron[/name_u]- honestly, I’ve known more girls named [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] ([name_u]Camryn[/name_u], [name_u]Kameron[/name_u], etc) than boys so I’m very much over it on a girl and would much rather meet some more boys with the name
[name_u]James[/name_u]- No! I hate the trend of [name_u]James[/name_u] on a girl! When people start encouraging me to give a son the middle name [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] the same way people encourage using [name_u]James[/name_u] as a girl middle name, then we’ll talk. Until then, no!
[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]- not a fan on a girl.
[name_u]Mason[/name_u]- no. [name_f]Macy[/name_f] or [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], please.
[name_u]Noah[/name_u]- only spelled [name_f]Noa[/name_f]. Then it’s a legitimate girl’s name
[name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]- I honestly can’t picture this on a girl, but I’ve never met anyone with the name so why not?
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u]- I ONLY like this for girls. I’ve met one girl, and heard of two other girls with the name. A female character from one of my favorite book series is named [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]. I love this
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u]- I’ve met one, and honestly, the name really didn’t work. I used to have a crush on [name_u]Eliot[/name_u] for a girl but it’s too masculine for me now.
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u] and [name_u]Elliot[/name_u]. I knew a female [name_u]Dylan[/name_u], and there was a female TV character named [name_u]Elliot[/name_u].
All of them to me are boys names but [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]. I actually prefer [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] on a girl. So my vote goes to [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]!
It’s hard for me to guess if a name for girls or boys or both sexes because my mother tongue, Korean, has completely different alphabet and names compare to English. So I rely upon a lot in celeb names and names in dramas/books to find that out.
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u] - I think it’s a unisex name although I prefer it on a boy. Reminds me of the boy in Modern Family.
[name_u]Cameron[/name_u] - Really suits well with both girls and boys, in my opinion. I like [name_u]Camryn[/name_u] better.
[name_u]James[/name_u] - Honestly it’s a boys name to me but I think it’s kinda cute when it is used as a middle name.
[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] - Sorry, boys again…
[name_u]Mason[/name_u] - As previous posters said, [name_f]Macie[/name_f]/[name_f]Macy[/name_f] or [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] would be cute!
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] - I thought it was a girls name. But now I know it’s really popular for boys and prefer [name_f]Noa[/name_f].
[name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] - Unisex name.
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u] and [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] - Same as [name_u]Noah[/name_u], I believed it was a girls name haha
What about names like [name_u]Sage[/name_u], [name_u]Hayden[/name_u], [name_u]Harper[/name_u], [name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_u]Riley[/name_u], [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u], [name_u]Darcy[/name_u], [name_u]Peyton[/name_u], [name_f]Paige[/name_f], [name_u]Skylar[/name_u]/[name_u]Skyler[/name_u]/[name_f]Skylyn/name_f, [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] or [name_u]River[/name_u]?
