Unisex Version of Charles & Charlotte

BESIDES [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]/Charley.

PS: Not looking for a nickname, @AdrianaRae edited it to say that for some reason. I just put it back. (No hate Ada.)

Arlo? Not quite unisex, but might work. [name_u]Or[/name_u] [name_u]Arley[/name_u].

Cal!

Maybe [name_u]Harley[/name_u]? It’s a stretch and not quite unisex but could work.

Edit: Sorry about that! I must have misunderstood. I can’t think of any unisex version other than Charlie at the moment.

Umm… so are you looking for a nickname or variant

I heard of some girls named [name_u]Charleston[/name_u] and it’s a boy name too so that might work

Are you pronouncing that like [name_f]Carol[/name_f] or [name_m]Karl[/name_m]?

Like [name_f]Carol[/name_f]. As in [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] [name_u]Carroll[/name_u], author of Alice in Wonderland.

Carol/Karol is actually a male name in parts of Europe, but [name_u]Carroll[/name_u] feels more gender neutral to me in [name_f]English[/name_f].

There’s also [name_u]Caro[/name_u]?

Kalle is a Scandinavian boy variant of [name_m]Charles[/name_m] pronounced like [name_f]Callie[/name_f] for girls. There are lots of hockey players named [name_m]Kalle[/name_m] so it feels pretty unisex to me!

Kalle is only a boy name in Scandinavia, though. It’s pronounced [name_m]Kal[/name_m]-leh, at least here in Finland.

I’ve heard it on hockey players pronounced like [name_f]Callie[/name_f]. [name_f]Callie[/name_f] is a girl name. I think someone can call it unisex.

Yeah, I can picture it on a girl. I think in other Scandinavian countries [name_m]Kalle[/name_m] may be said as [name_f]Callie[/name_f].
