Once in a while I hear a surname used as a first name that is not popularly used, but works well as a first name. I few I can think of of are:
[name]Campbell[/name]
[name]Field[/name]
[name]Calder[/name]
[name]Miller[/name]
[name]Rigby[/name]
[name]Foster[/name]
I am interested to see what other names berries might add to this list.
[name]Jensen[/name]
[name]Ripley[/name]
[name]Laurence[/name]/[name]Lawrence[/name]
[name]Flores[/name]
[name]Bryant[/name]
[name]Hayes[/name]
[name]Ellis[/name]
[name]Hamilton[/name]
[name]Palmer[/name]
Nichols
I really like [name]Campbell[/name] as a girl name. I’m using it for a character in a story.
Salander
Bogan
[name]Hale[/name]
[name]Harris[/name]
Lecroy
Shuart
[name]Morris[/name]
[name]Watson[/name]
[name]Jenkins[/name]
I like [name]Davis[/name]! That’s the only one I can think of at the moment. I’m sure I’ll remember more later.
[name]Bennett[/name]
Ryerson
[name]Carson[/name]
Shuart? And I have never heard of Salander, Lecroy, or Bogan before. Interesting.
All I have mentioned don’t seem useable to me. Salander reminds me of “Salamander” (eep). Neither does “Bogey” sound like a lovely nickname for child or an adult. Shuart sounds like a poor variation of “[name]Stuart[/name]” or the word “short.” And … Lecroy?
[name]Every[/name] other surname-name you’ve stated makes more sense.
I had a manager whose son was [name]Brooks[/name], one of his middle names but they called him by it rather than his first.
Foxwoth
[name]Morrison[/name]
[name]Myer[/name] and [name]Murphy[/name], as well
[name]Fyfe[/name]! I’ve never met anyone named this (except as a last name), but I like it a lot and I think it’d be cool as a first name .
I know a baby [name]Carter[/name].
[name]Jensen[/name] is my nephews name.
I’d also add [name]Jones[/name] and [name]Smith[/name], both common surnames but would make unique and cool first names
I like a lot of these, but on boys only, I think surnames for girls sounds tacky - but I didn’t see [name]Edison[/name] mentioned, that’s been towards the top of my boys list lately, I also quite like [name]Rigby[/name] and [name]Winston[/name].
I really like [name]Adair[/name] and [name]Winslet[/name] for girls and Hale for a boy.
[name]Malloy[/name]
[name]Fifer[/name]
[name]Sayer[/name]
[name]Ellery[/name]
[name]Laken[/name]/[name]Laiken[/name]
[name]Larkin[/name]
[name]Connolly[/name]
Also, [name]Langley[/name]
