I’m expecting a daughter in the [name_f]Spring[/name_f] and looking for an appealing but less common name to match her brothers [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] and [name_u]Merritt[/name_u].
Names on our list that we like but that probably are not THE ONE:
[name_f]Valley[/name_f]
Veralee
[name_m]Wilder[/name_m]
Clese
[name_f]Alta[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f]
[name_f]Winslet[/name_f]
[name_f]Marceline[/name_f] (We’ve loved for years but it’s an M name and now seems too feminine.)
We prefer a more masculine girl name, preferably two or more syllables, NOT beginning with R or M.
Some rare, androgynous-sounding (while not all actually androgynous) girls’ names…
[name_u]Feliz[/name_u]
>A tomboyish Spanish [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]-cousin.
[name_f]Keren[/name_f]
>An uncommon Hebrew name.
[name_u]Tegan[/name_u]
>A bit like [name_u]Teagan[/name_u] that has already been suggested, this uncommon Welsh girls’ name is pronounced “TEG-uhn”.
[name_u]Hero[/name_u]
>Both a figure in Greek myth and a character in [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m].
[name_f]Keziah[/name_f]
>I don’t know if it’s just me, but I see this Biblical name as being very spunky and masculine.
Aziliz
>The [name_m]Breton[/name_m] form of [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], apparently.
[name_u]Bevin[/name_u]
>An Anglicisation of the Irish name Bebinn.
Marsail
>I know it begins with an M, but I couldn’t resist suggesting it as a more tomboyish alternative to [name_f]Marceline[/name_f] (which I love), as it is a Scottish variation of the name, and while a girls’ name, sounds exactly like the boys’ name [name_m]Marcel[/name_m].
What handsome names your sons have, and congratulations on your daughter.
My take on your options:
[name_f]Valley[/name_f]: would be a great fit with her two brothers, & it’s masculine but still has that sparkle.
Veralee: is lovely as well and rolls off the tongue nicely. Veralee is my second favorite.
[name_m]Wilder[/name_m]: is a rustic name that I adore however, I think it would be more suitable as a middle.
Clese: is more feminine than some of your other options but is still an okay name. It just doesn’t wow me like [name_f]Marceline[/name_f], Veralee, and [name_f]Valley[/name_f] do.
[name_f]Alta[/name_f]: is unexpected but sounds great!
[name_f]Althea[/name_f]: sounds great with [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] and has the same vintage vibe as [name_u]Merritt[/name_u].
[name_f]Winslet[/name_f]: this is my least favorite, it doesn’t sound good in your sib set and is much more feminine than all your other options.
[name_f]Marceline[/name_f]: Swoon! It’s my [name_m]FAVORITE[/name_m], and I wouldn’t worry about the shared initial. Most people probably won’t even notice. It’s masculine, unique, and vintage! I hope you pick this one!
Here are just a few other options that you may be interested in. They lean more toward the unisex spectrum-- [name_m]Clark[/name_m], [name_u]Collins[/name_u], [name_u]Jameson[/name_u], [name_m]Bennett[/name_m], Bramble, [name_f]Briar[/name_f], Solace, [name_m]Feagan[/name_m], Bromwell, [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m], [name_u]Paxton[/name_u], [name_u]Marlow[/name_u] and [name_m]Valiant[/name_m].

My suggestions are definitely uncommon:
Amethea
[name_m]Emrys[/name_m]
[name_f]Aislin[/name_f]
Talwyn
[name_f]Lapis[/name_f]
[name_u]Florian[/name_u]
[name_u]Vale[/name_u]
[name_f]Aphra[/name_f]
[name_f]Orla[/name_f]
[name_f]Astra[/name_f]
[name_m]Iver[/name_m]
[name_f]Carys[/name_f]
[name_u]Vesper[/name_u]
[name_m]Ravine[/name_m]
[name_u]Gentry[/name_u]
[name_f]Eseld[/name_f]
[name_u]Praxis[/name_u]
Everil
I particularly think that Amethea, Talwyn, [name_f]Orla[/name_f], [name_m]Iver[/name_m] and [name_u]Praxis[/name_u] compliment your two sons’ handsome names.
Good luck finding the perfect name for your daughter.
