I know 3 Reubens! I love it for a boy but was afraid it was getting too trendy.

Many of the boys names don’t seem that unusual to me…

My thoughts:
[name]Stanley[/name] - I really like this but have a “bad apple” nephew with this name so it’s a no go for us
[name]Leopold[/name] - an interesting alternative to [name]Leonardo[/name]
[name]Russell[/name] - I seem to know quite a number of 40-something Russells
[name]Chester[/name] - rhymes with Molester
[name]Fred[/name] - not bad but I do get the Flintstones vibe
[name]Glen[/name] - the name of a very good friend from my highschool days AND of one of my favorite bosses of all times. great associations for me
[name]Sidney[/name] - [name]Lola[/name] from [name]Charlie[/name] and [name]Lola[/name] names a spider [name]Sidney[/name] in one of the episodes
[name]Gilbert[/name] - oh geez, “What’s Eating [name]Gilbert[/name] Grape?”
[name]Willis[/name] - really like this, even better than [name]William[/name] to me
[name]Otis[/name] - [name]Otis[/name] [name]Redding[/name]…not a bad association
[name]Rufus[/name] - [name]RUFUS[/name]!! The time traveller from [name]Bill[/name] and [name]Ted[/name]'s Excellent Adventure. Great name
[name]August[/name] - this was on our list in case we had a boy
[name]Ellis[/name] - I don’t have any opinion here
[name]Homer[/name] - The [name]Simpson[/name]'s have really taken over this one
[name]Ellwood[/name] - sounds very preppy to me…but I like the NN [name]Woody[/name]
[name]Reuben[/name] - Know a couple Reubens, it’s a good name with lots of NN potential…Roo, RooRoo, [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Ben[/name]
[name]Austin[/name] - really like this although I do think of it mainly as a surname
[name]Eldon[/name] - wasn’t there a character in the Clueless movie named [name]Eldon[/name]…again really preppy to me
[name]Aubrey[/name] - sounds feminine
[name]Monroe[/name] - seems like it could become a trendy name along the lines of [name]Harlow[/name]
[name]Travis[/name] - I have known so many people named [name]Travis[/name], including one girl. Seems relatively common to me.
[name]Quentin[/name] - cute
[name]Rolland[/name] - knew one of these in highschool, he was a bit dorky
[name]Ulysses[/name] - seems grandpa-ish

[name]Angelia[/name]- this is pretty but I think would get confused for [name]Angelina[/name]
[name]Dimple[/name] - not so much.
[name]Signe[/name] - I’m uncertain how to pronounce this
[name]Maybelle[/name] - [name]Mabel[/name] is much better

[name]Petra[/name] - very pretty
[name]Lovie[/name] - this reminds me of [name]Lovey[/name] [name]Howell[/name] from Gilligan’s Island and I always thought it was ridiculous that a grown woman was called [name]Lovey[/name]

I have long adored [name]Queenie[/name], and my brother’s mn is [name]Aubrey[/name]! [name]Fairy[/name] and [name]Dimple[/name] are bizarre choices - much too cutesy for an adult, in my opinion.

We went to the theatre the other day, and there on the programme was the name of the writer - [name]Winsome[/name]. Peculiar, but very appropriate for a playwrite!
