Unusual Tree Names

Since I’ve been off of Nameberry for awhile, what better way to contribute to the community than by making another weird and unusual names post taken from my particular special interest sources!

Inspired by: List of tree genera - Wikipedia

I give you a list of tree genera I’ve deemed somewhat or completely useable as names:

Sambucus
Viburnum
Anacardium
Ilex
Betula
Corylus
Castanea
Carya
Adansonia
Tilia
Salix
Thuja
Larix

(Should I do mushrooms next?)

I love trees so I love this!

Ilex, [name_f]Betula[/name_f], Carya, and [name_f]Tilia[/name_f] are in particular really cool

[name_f]Betula[/name_f] is fantastic! I’d love to see this name get some attention. And the tie to birch trees only makes it better. [name_u]Birch[/name_u] are so lovely, but I’m never too sure about the name [name_u]Birch[/name_u] itself so [name_f]Betula[/name_f] is a great alternative.

[name_m]Salix[/name_m] and [name_f]Tilia[/name_f] would fit in seamlessly on a modern baby.

Ooh, yes please!!
