I was stunned to see how many of my favorite boys names made the list. In fact, [name_f]EVERY[/name_f] name that my husband and I have [name_u]EVER[/name_u] seriously considered for a boy (be it as a first or middle) is on this list. Here are the ones that we’ve considered:

What do you think Upright Elegance means? What do these names make you think of? What names do you think belong on this list but aren’t? Does this mean my taste in boy names is a bit snooty? Sorry for the rapid-fire questions, I’m just still reeling to find my taste was apparently so easily summarized on one list.

It’s actually quite funny to see this, because looking at the list I see pretty much all my boy and girl names. I guess I have the same taste as you. :slight_smile:

Oh, I’m so relieved that I’m not alone! Hahaha. I like [name_m]Alaric[/name_m], [name_m]Alistair[/name_m], [name_u]Auberon[/name_u], [name_m]Bram[/name_m] and [name_m]Lysander[/name_m]. Now that you mention it, I think [name_m]Alistair[/name_m] might have been on our middles list once. [name_u]Auberon[/name_u] is the most intriguing to me. According to nameberry, there is a famous [name_u]Auberon[/name_u] who uses the nickname [name_m]Bron[/name_m], which is pretty cool–and not far from [name_m]Bram[/name_m].

To me, “upright elegance” means vintage-style aristocratic refinery.
