I’m in hospital with my beautiful new baby girl. Her name is Delara. Our last name sounds like grafitti.
I want the MN to be after my late grandma [name_f]Annie[/name_f] and despite the many repeated sounds (a’s or i’s) we like either [name_f]Ana[/name_f] or [name_f]Anni[/name_f].
Congrats! [name_f]Anni[/name_f] definitely sounds better paired with Delara and I’d use it. I’d use the full [name_f]Annie[/name_f] though with an “E” at the end. People might assume the pronunciation is different if you leave it out.
I’d most prefer the rhythm of Delara [name_f]Ann/name_f Graffiti, but if it’s definitely one of Delara [name_f]Ana[/name_f] Graffiti or Delara [name_f]Annie[/name_f] Graffiti I don’t think one sounds better than the other so I’d go with your grandmother’s name, spelled [name_f]Annie[/name_f]. (I agree with a previous post - [name_f]Anni[/name_f] would throw me for a loop pronunciation-wise.)
