It would take an amazing fictional character or particularly stunning actress to make [name_f]Ursula[/name_f] appealing to me.
Not at all, I love [name_f]Ursula[/name_f] (and [name_f]Ursa[/name_f])! It’s a beautiful name and it makes me think of bears and stars.
I don’t know how others would react to it though. A lot of people might only associate it with the sea witch from TLM and react negatively to it. I personally wouldn’t let that stop me from using it if I decided I wanted to use the name though!
I do like both The [name_m]Little[/name_m] Mermaid and Friends, too, but both Ursulas are such negative characters to me that it puts me off the name rather than make me like it more.
Unless you consider using it in the next few months, why not put it on your list and have some fun with it? Chances are that it’s just a crush and you’re over it in a few weeks but still one should enjoy it while it lasts!
(For a real human being, I find [name_f]Ursula[/name_f] to be a very unfortunate name, the Ursul part has the same feel to it as Berth(a) or Ger(trude) which are two names that aren’t even clunky-cool to me and might be very difficult to wear.)
I love the name [name_f]Ursula[/name_f] and I’ve considered it several times. I would pair it with an ultra feminine middle name.
