US Top 1000 Combined Spellings (Girls)

I just finished the girls’ combined spellings top 1000 and thought I’d share it with those of you who are interested; the one I’m posting is the most general one with noted rank change up to rank 150, though the new rank is always displayed (compared to the may '16 released SSA list: Popular Names in the United States 2015 - Behind the Name).

There are only around 750 ranks as I haven’t considered the names beyond the Top 1000 (it takes quite a while to go through as there are so many) but there are still many notable changes.
At around rank 150 the first name displayed changes from most popular to first in alphabetical order.

I have one in rank order: http://docdro.id/IRu1V62 (if you want to see the change in popularity)
and
one in alphabetical order: http://docdro.id/wGs8hZu (in case you’re looking for one name, ranks are still displayed)

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] you enjoy and tell me what you think!

Thank you!!! I love the list. I think this gives a much more realistic picture of how popular names are than the ssa list. So fun to see. I was happy to see a few of my favorites moved down in popularity like [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]

I’m surprised [name_f]Makayla[/name_f] went up 66 and [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] went up 41. I didn’t know [name_m]Mac[/name_m] names were still that popular.

The Mc- names do already have a slightly dated feel to them, they must have been that much more popular a while back for them do achieve that while still being used so often!

I wasn’t really surprised by all the spelling variations of modern names ([name_f]Kylie[/name_f], [name_f]Kylee[/name_f], [name_f]Kyleigh[/name_f], etc.) but as with the boys ([name_m]Jackson[/name_m], [name_u]Kayden[/name_u], [name_u]Aiden[/name_u]), I’m still surprised how many there are and how popular those names get when adding up the numbers.

[name_f]Sophia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sofia[/name_f] at #1 was another non-surprising outcome, but I did think that other names with various spelling variations would climb up the ranks more than they did, with the boys [name_u]Kayden[/name_u] jumped from #95 to #11, with the girls, the biggest jumps still put names mostly in the 50s+.

Wow [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] - this is incredible - thanks for taking the time to do it.

I am surprised to see [name_f]Hailey[/name_f] climb 25 places when all spellings combined, I thought it had started to decline now, but clearly not.

And whoa - look at [name_f]Kaitlyn[/name_f] - being 131 places higher when all spellings combined. It just goes to show how deceiving the SSA list can be, with it counting each spelling separately.

Thank you so much for this!! I’m glad to see [name_f]Alice[/name_f] being pushed out of the top 100, haha
