Thoughts on the name Vaida [name_u]Everly[/name_u]?
There are lots of different spellings for Vaida, including [name_f]Veda[/name_f] and [name_f]Vada[/name_f]. But the Vaida spelling seems the prettiest to me? Feedback appreciated.
I think it’s very pretty! I have never seen the Vaida spelling, but I really like it.
I like [name_f]Veda[/name_f], [name_f]Vada[/name_f], then Vaida. Vaida doesn’t looks made up to me. [name_f]Veda[/name_f] [name_u]Everly[/name_u] is pretty though.

[name_m]How[/name_m] are you pronouncing it? [name_f]Veda[/name_f] I would say “VAY-duh”; [name_f]Vada[/name_f] I would say “VAAH-duh”; Vaida I would say “VYE-duh”.
Vaida is a pretty spelling, and it sounds lovely with [name_u]Everly[/name_u]
Pronounced Vay-duh. I am wanting to avoid mispronunciations as much as possible so wanting the spelling that will hopefully do that?
I think Vaida is more confusing than [name_f]Veda[/name_f], because I would think you might be going for VIE-da, like [name_u]Kai[/name_u]. Vayda seems like the most pronunciation-proof spelling, but [name_f]Veda[/name_f] seems by far the most elegant and classic.
I agree with @lwj1986. I think most people will pronounce [name_f]Veda[/name_f] as vay-duh, and it is the simplest spelling. I also think it looks better with [name_u]Everly[/name_u]. Have you also considered [name_f]Leda[/name_f]?
Thanks for the input- really helps. We already have a [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] so not really wanting another L name.
Not sure if you might be bothered by this, but I think I have to throw it out there – [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] and [name_f]Veda[/name_f] could be made into [name_m]Luke[/name_m] and Vader, and [name_f]Star[/name_f] Wars is not going away anytime soon. Now I don’t think that’s a deal-breaker, but it’s something to consider.
P.S. If it does bother you, there’s always [name_u]Vega[/name_u]. It’s one of my favorites <3
Didn’t even think of the [name_m]Luke[/name_m] connection to [name_f]Star[/name_f] Wars- was already on the fence regarding the Darth connection. [name_m]Will[/name_m] definitely have to have a think about it. Not a fan of [name_u]Vega[/name_u], don’t mind [name_f]Vera[/name_f].
Is Vaida like “Vay-dah”? that makes the most sense to me. [name_f]Veda[/name_f] is more “Vee-dah” and [name_f]Vada[/name_f] is “Vah-dah”
