Ok so I really like [name]Valentin[/name]… but ONLY as a middle name. I know it would be unfair to give the poor little guy this as a first name, so its automatically regulated to the middle. But when I mentioned it to someone earlier today they pretty much flipped out, and thought I was nuts.
So could [name]Valentin[/name] work as a middle name, or am I just crazy?
I know an 11 year old boy named [name]Kit[/name] [name]Valentin[/name]. Gorgeous kid, and has had no name trouble as far as I know.
I think it’s a great middle name for a boy, as long as you match it with a good first name - something not overly intricate maybe, but still handsome.
I love the Valtentine names! [name]Valentin[/name], [name]Valentino[/name], [name]Valentina[/name]… They’re such great names that are in use in other countries, but here in the U.S. I guess people can only think of the Hallmark holiday. [name]Shame[/name].
Becasue of that, I think the middle name spot is the perfect place for it. It’ll make for a great name all together. : )
[name]Valentin[/name] is a cool name, how will you pronounce it? I went to middle school with one, he was a really big guy and people called him [name]Val[/name]. I remember at the time thinking it was a weird name for a boy, and that was one of the few names people ever made fun of, though it wasn’t really making fun of so much as just commenting on. No one ever said anything to his face though because he was very intimidating.
I begged for this to be our 1st son’s first name but dh said no way. Now 6 years later it is becoming a cool name, so I’d say go for it either first or middle!
