Valentine/Valentina

What do you think about the name [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] or [name_f]Valentina[/name_f]? [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] would bee with an een ending.
With [name_f]Valentina[/name_f], her nickname could be [name_f]Nina[/name_f], [name_f]Lina[/name_f], [name_f]Valley[/name_f], or [name_f]Leni[/name_f]. For [name_u]Valentine[/name_u], nickname could be [name_f]Valley[/name_f] or [name_f]Leni[/name_f], but do you think that [name_f]Lina[/name_f] and [name_f]Nina[/name_f] could work? Also, how do [name_f]Frances[/name_f], [name_u]Jude[/name_u], and [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] sound as siblings?

[name_f]Valentina[/name_f] fits better with [name_f]Frances[/name_f] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u], imo, but [name_f]Lina[/name_f] and [name_f]Nina[/name_f] work fine as NNs for [name_u]Valentine[/name_u].

I like both, but I think I prefer [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] a little! [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Nina[/name_f]’ is lovely

I don’t really like [name_f]Valentina[/name_f], but I think it goes well with [name_f]Frances[/name_f] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u]. Some more nickname options are [name_f]Valya[/name_f] and [name_u]Vale[/name_u].

For some reason I love [name_u]Valentine[/name_u], but not [name_f]Valentina[/name_f].

I definitely think [name_f]Nina[/name_f] could work as a nn for [name_u]Valentine[/name_u], and love it as a sibling for [name_f]Frances[/name_f] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u].

I think with [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] you’d constantly be having people pronounce it in it’s most intuitive pronunciation. I like [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] for a girl, since I consider [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] is a strong male name.

I think [name_f]Valentina[/name_f]'s you best option, and think it works better with [name_f]Frances[/name_f] & [name_u]Jude[/name_u], too. I like [name_u]Valentine[/name_u], but I imagine you’d be constantly correcting many non-[name_m]French[/name_m] speakers, who will likely default to the long I ending as that is the more familiar (due, I’d suppose, to [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]'s [name_u]Day[/name_u]). Also, if I came across a sibset of [name_f]Frances[/name_f], [name_u]Jude[/name_u] and [name_u]Valentine[/name_u], I’d be more likely to assume [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] was a boy as opposed to a girl, and I’d definitely assume val-uhn-tyne. [name_f]Frances[/name_f], [name_u]Jude[/name_u] & [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] makes for a nice sibset.

[name_f]Valentina[/name_f] is one of my all time favourites! NN [name_f]Valley[/name_f] is so so cute!

[name_f]Valentina[/name_f] is so lovely, and I think it fits well with the siblings

I prefer [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] for a girl. I see [name_m]Valentin[/name_m]/[name_u]Valentine[/name_u] as a masculine name.

I love [name_f]Valentina[/name_f], but I almost prefer [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] with [name_f]Frances[/name_f] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u].
