Hmm was all set to vote for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], but it does seem that [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] would go with [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], so maybe something more embellished should go with [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Greta[/name_f]–which works fine for just [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]–but [name_f]Margaretta[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] is quite pretty. I think you’ve changed my mind!

On second (third) thought, i like the look of [name_f]Margareta[/name_f] more than [name_f]Margaretta[/name_f]. If I could change my vote I would, but I think [name_f]Margareta[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] looks nicer/less busy.

Of the poll choices, I would stick with [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] variant is the [name_m]French[/name_m] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] nn [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]. There is also [name_f]Margaretha[/name_f]/[name_f]Margarethe[/name_f].

I would stick to [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] nn [name_f]Greta[/name_f].

I feel like since I have the “a” at the end of my other daughter’s name, I should have it here too if I want to use a nn that ends in “a.”

Are there any other names that [name_f]Greta[/name_f] would be an appropriate nn for? I am picky and like the original name to include the nn.

I voted for [name_f]Margareta[/name_f] but prefer [name_f]Margarita[/name_f]. I do think a “fancier” version would look better with [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f]. You could use the -ita spelling and still use the [name_f]Greta[/name_f] nickname.

[name_f]Margherita[/name_f]/[name_f]Margarita[/name_f] would work best, but are pretty much unusable (pizza and booze). Otherwise, [name_f]Margareta[/name_f] would work for the sound and NN you want, though there is something about it that seems somehow less than the more common [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].
