On my DH family tree he is descendant from lots of [name_m]Williams[/name_m].
We like the name [name_m]William[/name_m] but are looking for variations to the name, and if they are usable. DS is [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and DD is [name_f]Tilly[/name_f]
What about [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m] - which would honour 2 family members in one go - [name_m]William[/name_m] and [name_m]Burt[/name_m] / [name_u]Bertie[/name_u].
[name_m]How[/name_m] usable is [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m]? Any other variations to [name_m]William[/name_m]
[name_m]William[/name_m] (and possible variations of it, [name_m]Will[/name_m], [name_u]Billy[/name_u] even [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m]) seem a bit too close to [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] to me. I like [name_m]William[/name_m] but would like to see something a bit different sounding to go with your other two children’s names.
[name_m]Liam[/name_m] is great with [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and [name_f]Tilly[/name_f]
The rest of the [name_m]Will[/name_m]'s are too close to [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] imo, that includes [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m] which I’m surprised to find myself liking…
I really like [name_m]Albert[/name_m], to honour [name_m]Burt[/name_m]/[name_u]Bertie[/name_u].
[name_m]Bertram[/name_m] has the [name_m]Burt[/name_m]/[name_u]Bertie[/name_u] bit, and it has the same two last letters as [name_m]William[/name_m]. [name_m]Bertram[/name_m] is kind of cool, it means ‘bright raven’ and can be shortened to Bam which might not be for everyone but is certainly memorable ^^
