Hello. I’m due for my second little girl in three weeks and she still doesn’t have a name. Her big sister’s name is [name]Veda[/name] [name]Honey[/name] and if she had it her way, the new baby would be named Peppa Pig …
I’m looking for something a little unusual, but not completely unheard of. Short and spunky. Doesn’t end in a “er” or “uh” or “a” sound. And works with [name]Veda[/name].
So far the list is pretty tiny;
Lumi [name]Wren[/name] (top contender)
And [name]Juno[/name] [name]Bird[/name]
Other names I like, but can’t use are [name]Ada[/name], [name]Isla[/name], [name]Luda[/name], [name]Zenna[/name], [name]Mara[/name], [name]Nila[/name], [name]Neva[/name] & [name]Asta[/name].
If I may be so bold, I think the perfect sister for [name]Veda[/name] [name]Honey[/name] is [name]Juno[/name] Darling!
A few other thoughts that jumped to mind are similar to [name]Juno[/name]:
[name]Isis[/name]
[name]Io[/name]
[name]Echo[/name]
[name]Iris[/name]
[name]June[/name] (A more retro [name]Juno[/name], as it were)
[name]Joan[/name]
[name]Cleo[/name]/[name]Clio[/name]
&
[name]Jane[/name].
[name]Zita[/name] [name]Wren[/name]
[name]Isla[/name] [name]Maren[/name] I made up this combo and then reread your post and you can’t use [name]Isla[/name] and [name]Mara[/name]! Are you sure this is a lovely combo imo.
[name]Elin[/name] [name]Annike[/name]
[name]Stella[/name] [name]Harriet[/name] No ‘a’ sound, so is this out too? [name]Harriet[/name] fn spot?
What about using [name]Wren[/name] as a first? I love this name! I think we have different tastes, so excuse me if I’m off in my recommendations, but how about any of these?
[name]Hi[/name] Lipseek, from your list, I like [name]Wren[/name] and [name]Juno[/name] but I’m not sure about Lumi. Sorry but Lumi doesn’t even look like a name to me (short for Lumiere?). Here are some suggestions for [name]Veda[/name] [name]Honey[/name]'s sister (love [name]Veda[/name] BTW ). Good luck!
[name]Veda[/name] and sister…

Lumi is a real name, but it’s Finnish. It means snow. I do like it a lot, but I know it is pretty unusual.
[name]Do[/name] you think [name]Veda[/name] and [name]Margot[/name] sound okay together? [name]How[/name] about [name]Marlo[/name]?
I think [name]Marlo[/name] or [name]Marlowe[/name] is great with [name]Veda[/name] and [name]Veda[/name] and [name]Margot[/name] make a pretty pair either of these would be spot on.
Unfortunately Lumi is very close to the slang term ‘looney’ so it may cause her a problem in an English speaking country. [name]Anu[/name] is a pretty Finnish name. (I was in Finland last year and just love it there!)
[name]Aili[/name] is a Finnish name I can see going with [name]Veda[/name], maybe more accessible than Lumi, although I do really like Lumi (see the Looney point, though). I also like [name]Margo[/name] and [name]Marlo[/name]!
With [name]Veda[/name] (which is on my list!), I like
[name]Dharma[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Delphine[/name]
Dhalia
[name]Delia[/name]
[name]Carys[/name]
[name]Lark[/name]
[name]Avis[/name]
[name]Sable[/name]
[name]Fable[/name]
[name]Zinnia[/name]
[name]Zara[/name] (i like it pn [name]Zair[/name]-a)
[name]Petra[/name]
Pria
