Velveteen or Velvetine?

I’ve been really liking the name [name_f]Velveteen[/name_f] / Velvetine recently, but I’m not sure about the spelling.

[name_f]Velveteen[/name_f] looks nice in a way, but I feel like it has too many Es and I don’t like how it had the word “teen” at the end

I prefer the look of Velvetine but I keep saying it in my head with a long I, rhyming with [name_u]Valentine[/name_u].

Which spelling do you prefer and why?

I prefer Velveteen - Velvetine looks less a name to me and more like an adjective & description, maybe because I’d also pronounce it with the long -ine ending!

Velvetine would be better where I live as [name_f]Velveteen[/name_f] is a brand of shells & cheese.

I like Velvetine best but it might be confused as [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] as i did initially read it as [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] x

Yes, I thought of that too

I like [name_f]Velveteen[/name_f] best - since it’s a word and because I misread Velvetine as [name_u]Valentine[/name_u].
