I’ve long considered using Veronica as a middle name in hopes that it would register as an honour name for my late grandmother Verna. Then this week I started to wonder about using it as a first name? So a couple of questions:
How do we feel about Veronica?
How do we feel about Veronica with the last name @rch!b@ld? Too Archie-comics or OK?

The name sounds very striking and unique, I love it!
It sounds like the type of name everyone turns their heads to look when they hear it! It’s very sweet yet full of pride and anguish in a positive light! This name combo works amazingly
[name_f]Edit[/name_f]: [name_f]Verna[/name_f] would definitely be a nice nickname for [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] if you chose to use it as a first name, if not there are the options of [name_f]Vera[/name_f], [name_f]Vernie[/name_f], Vee!

I don’t think it would be a deal breaker the [name_m]Archie[/name_m] association, but it would probably deter me from using it at all even as a middle. Sorry it’s a lovely name. Mostly because of the [name_m]Archie[/name_m] revival TV show right now. Maybe the [name_u]French[/name_u] version veronique for the middle

[name_f]Veronica[/name_f] is strong and distinct with a fashionable vibe. I’ve never read the [name_m]Archie[/name_m] comics but I would have known the association. I’m not sure that I would have made that connection on meeting a [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] A-d
I much prefer [name_f]Verna[/name_f] or even [name_f]Vera[/name_f] to [name_f]Veronica[/name_f]. But, I wouldn’t make the [name_m]Archie[/name_m] comics connection either!
I don’t think the original comics are the problem, I think the show Riverdale is more of an issue. not necessarily a dealbreaker, but I think a lot of people might notice, considering the popularity of the show.
If it’s just a middle, I think there’s no issue. Most people wouldn’t even know her middle! As a first though, I might hesitate a bit. I think the fact that it’s an honor makes me feel like you should use it anyway. I don’t think it’s a negative association, and it’s not like you’re naming siblings [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] & Arch!b@ld!!
It’s totally up to you whether you’re okay with the association, and the possibility of some people mentioning the connection to you, though!
I love [name_f]Veronica[/name_f], it is a lovely name!
The association with Riverdale (is that show still a thing?) is far stronger than the comics themselves imo, and would probably make me think twice about using [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] as a middle. That said, middle names can come up as often or sparsely as you’d like, so there’s a chance that no one would even notice, and if they did, it’s not as though you don’t have a clear, non-Riverdale reason for choosing the name. So I think you could get away with it.
Thanks, everyone so far!
I was considering Riverdale as part of the [name_m]Archie[/name_m] comics universe, so Riverdale-related input is also helpful.
I would not be dissuaded from using [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] as a middle name (I agree with @SparkleNinja18 that they can see pretty limited use and to me the honour aspect outweighs the rest) so I’m wondering about [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] as a first name next to @rch!b@ld as a last name.
