Vesta

I need your opinions berries. This name grew on me a lot lately but I’m worried about the associations people might have.

I’ve liked this name for a long time but I don’t think it gets much love. For some, it’s vest with an “a” stuck on the end. For others, it’s too similar to [name_f]Vespa[/name_f]. I like it anyway. [name_f]Vesta[/name_f] is the [name_m]Roman[/name_m] goddess of the hearth, home, and family. It’s also an asteroid. Those are two pretty cool associations. For some reason, I like [name_f]Vesta[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] as a combo (she’s a Southern belle sitting on her veranda swing sipping a mint julep :)).

Vestas is a Danish wind turbines manufacturer, so that’s the first thing that springs to my mind (but wind energy isn’t a bad association, wind turbines are an important source of renewable and sustainable energy). That said, I like [name_f]Vesta[/name_f]. It’s a lovely name.

Makes me think of Vespas and vests. Have you considered the Greek equivalent of the [name_m]Roman[/name_m] goddess [name_f]Hestia[/name_f]? Rather similar in sound.

I immediately think of vests and vestibule. Not fond of [name_f]Vesta[/name_f].

I think of Vespas, those little motor scooter things. Or a vest. I am not a fan of [name_f]Vesta[/name_f]. Sorry!

I knew the most beautiful little girl named [name_f]Vesta[/name_f], so I have a good association with the name.

I like it. I’m thinking about the [name_m]Roman[/name_m] goddess, not [name_f]Vespa[/name_f].

It does look/sound a lot like [name_f]Vespa[/name_f] and vest. That said, I think the [name_m]Roman[/name_m] goddess is a pretty nice association. I think it’s a name people will think is strange at first, but it has a very pleasant sound once you get used to it.

It’s okay --I like Desta better.

I think [name_f]Vesta[/name_f] is a cute and spunky little name. I am a fan.

I don’t have much to say, other than I think [name_f]Vesta[/name_f] is lovely and I love the history behind it.

What do you think about [name_u]Vesper[/name_u]?
