Hey guys! Just looking for an overall vibe check on Eska. I’ve been obsessed with it since it came to mind for my sibset muse a couple weeks ago and it’s left me wondering if this is a new staple on my list or just a phase.
I’d love to see and read the vibes you get from Eska! I have my little blurb in my UC but I want to know what others envision. Pictures/collages, descriptions, picrews, songs, whatever matches the vibe of Eska! Yes, I am aware of the Legend of Korra character but feel free to drop her in here if that’s the vibe.
[name_f]Eska[/name_f] feels very sharp and crisp to me. Very winter-y (particularly blankets of white snow and ice skates gliding over ice). This might be due to its similarity to [name_f]Elsa[/name_f], but I really get ice queen vibes. I’m reminded of the White Witch from [name_f]Narnia[/name_f] minus the evil but retaining the bad-a**
Well you know how much I adore [name_f]Eska[/name_f], I’m glad someone loves it too Here’s a little aesthetic of what I get from it, just slightly influenced by LoK, but not too much~
Eska’s all pinks, purples, and glitter, but in a very glamorous way. She’s a YA protag. in the very best way, (which I feel is how your naming style is described a lot lol), like you said, a little swordswoman. She also gives off serious icy vibes, reminds me of diamonds and gems, neon signs, fireworks, and acrylic nails. Clothing vibes she gives off are vintage band tees, mom jeans, high top converse (that are a little muddy), combat boots, and leather jackets. She wears her hair in braids or in ponytails to keep it out of the way, and loves loud, bright shades of turquoise and pink. Like, say, magenta.
She’s always has a notebook and colored gel pens, when she forgets her notebook, she writes all over her hands and arms, doodles when she’s bored. She wears black velvet fedoras, yells to get attention. I can see her wearing a lot of rings and bracelets, and she also strikes me as a thrift shopper. She stays up late studying, facetiming with friends, and jamming out to music.
[name_f]Eska[/name_f] seems like the type to act all serious and “you can’t get to me” to other people, when in reality, she’s super soft on the inside, having dance parties in her bedroom, playing with her stuffed animals, and spilling orange soda all over the kitchen. She’s either the youngest or the oldest sister, but she’s honestly super chill. I can see her wearing sunglasses a lot, getting a lot of ear piercings and a nose stud, and getting really into astronomy.

Well, I seem to have a thing for Avatar universe antagonist/anti-hero (as the case with Eska) names haha ! I love the picture with the quote about snow. I didn’t initially get wintry vibes from Eska but I totally see it now!

From my research, it’s a Frisian name related to the Æsir members of Norse mythology (including Thor and Odin). I guess I can hear the tsk but I also love Saskia so I guess I just like the “sk” sound.
I also get totally purple and glitter from Eska! And yes, I love the YA protagonist style haha. I also really like Elska but the meaning bothered me so I was so happy to find Eska.

This is just funny to me because in my Freyja/Eska/Lotta set, the overwhelming consensus was this birth order!
I was having a hard time conjuring imagery for Eska at first, but these thoughts are really helping. I definitely could see the Elsa | northern | snow vibe with Eska. The only other thing I’m really feeling about Eska is happiness Eska feels cheerful and like laughter to me. A very pleasant association imo.
This is so interesting to me because [name_f]Eska[/name_f] is all Northern to me, snowy woods, wool jumpers, crackling fire, handmade pottery, light blonde/white hair - hygge vibes.
