Vibes from Isabella “Belle”? 🌷

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone!

[name_u]Loving[/name_u] [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] at the moment as a way to get to one of my favourite nicknames, [name_f]Belle[/name_f].
I know [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is very common, but it feels beautiful, elegant and sophisticated, and I’ve only met ones that go by [name_u]Izzy[/name_u] or [name_f]Bella[/name_f], none by [name_f]Belle[/name_f].

So, what vibes do you get from [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] “Belle”?
And is [name_f]Belle[/name_f] enforceable?

Thank you! :sparkles:

I agree that [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is super popular- but I also don’t know any Isabella’s that go by [name_f]Belle[/name_f]- just [name_u]Izzy[/name_u].
I think it’s enforceable! [name_f]Belle[/name_f] for [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is an intuitive nickname so it should have no trouble catching on. Many names have totally random nicknames that people except (Jim for [name_u]John[/name_u], [name_f]Peggy[/name_f] for Margret…) and [name_f]Belle[/name_f] is much more familiar then those examples.
I get pretty different vibes from these names though.
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is glitzy, glittery, sparkly- very girly with pale pink and silver colours. :unicorn: :lollipop: :ribbon: :mirror_ball: :shopping:
[name_f]Belle[/name_f] is sleeker and more sophisticated, and feels very [name_u]French[/name_u] with pale yellow and Cream colours. :croissant: :honey_pot: :mantelpiece_clock: :star: :bell:

I think [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] nickname [name_f]Belle[/name_f] has more cohesive vibes, as [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is snowy, elegant, glimmery, and sleek. :cloud_with_snow: :cake: :poodle: :croissant: :ring:

Either way, I love [name_f]Belle[/name_f]!

Thank you so much! This is lovely.
I typically prefer [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] / [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] too but [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] has really been growing on me lately!

[name_f]Belle[/name_f] feels very 19th century American, Little-Women vibe, dark blue, elegant, socialite
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] feels more 19th century Italian, First Soprano of [name_f]Opera[/name_f], dark red, passionate, romantic

I think that [name_f]Amabel[/name_f] might work better for this vibe, and [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] goes better with [name_u]Isa[/name_u] as a nickname. [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] “Belle” feels modern American girly

To me it feels American, baby pink, trendy and romantic! I think it’s definitely enforceable.

[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is sharp and pretty - it gives me princessy vibes, but also feels sophisticated, solid and strong. It reminds me of one of my fave characters too

[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] ‘Belle’ is great - slightly unexpected but makes sense! I think if you said ‘this is Belle’ or ‘this is [name_f]Isabella[/name_f], we call her Belle’ people would get on board with it. One of my cousin’s close friends is an [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] who goes nearly exclusively by [name_f]Belle[/name_f], if that helps

Vibes -

[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] - I think of [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] Rossellini and, perhaps because her mother was [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] Bergman, I get old Hollywood vintage glamour vibes. I also think of strong, feisty and passionate Italian women, and the colours red and gold.

[name_f]Belle[/name_f] is different in vibe to me. I find it very [name_f]Disney[/name_f] [name_f]Princess[/name_f], little-girly and a bit saccharine. Its colours are definitely sugary pink and white to me (with sparkles).

I definitely think you can get [name_f]Belle[/name_f] from [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]. Yes, it’s more natural from [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] (and [name_f]Bella[/name_f] from Isabella), but they’re all basically the same name of the same family so it’s not at all a wild stretch. I wouldn’t be surprised at all to meet a [name_f]Belle[/name_f] and find out her full name was [name_f]Isabella[/name_f], or to meet an [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] but be asked to call her [name_f]Belle[/name_f], and I wouldn’t struggle with the request.

[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is a lovely name and is popular for good reason. You can definitely shorten it to [name_f]Belle[/name_f] or [name_f]Bella[/name_f]. These are a much more unusual and prettier alternatives to [name_f]Izzie[/name_f] which I have never liked.

Haha… Part of my second daughter’s middle name is [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]. We call her ‘Baby Belle’ or just ‘Belle’, so I love Belle!!
