Victoire

What do you think of [name_f]Victoire[/name_f]? For the longest time it never even occurred to me as a name I’d think about, but recently a girl I know mentioned it was her middle name (after her grandmother) and now it’s growing on me. Opinions?

I rather like [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Victoire[/name_f]. Sweet and elegant and [name_m]French[/name_m].

Beautiful. Similar to the very popular [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] but better

I really love the elegant look of it, but I’m not quite sure how it is pronounced. [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Victoire[/name_f] looks lovely.

I’m not sure how to pronounce it, tbh. In my head, I say it “[name_m]Vick[/name_m]-torie”.

I think it’s absolutely beautiful, and I much prefer it over [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] actually. However, the pronunciation might be a problem but as a middle it’s OK.

It’s prnounced something like [name_u]Vic[/name_u]-to-are (but not exactly).

Not a good name. Sorry.

[name_f]Victoria[/name_f] is a beautiful name. [name_f]Victoire[/name_f] just looks like a boys version of it, an alternative version of [name_m]Victor[/name_m].

My name’s [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] (I prefer [name_f]Vicki[/name_f] or [name_u]Vic[/name_u] for everyday use). When I was in a [name_m]French[/name_m] class in high school we all had to pick [name_m]French[/name_m] names for use in class, so I picked [name_f]Victoire[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] (my middle name is [name_f]Marie[/name_f]) and mainly just used [name_f]Victoire[/name_f]. I didn’t like it as much as my real name, but it’s still a nice name.

As a geeky side note, [name_f]Victoire[/name_f] is the name of [name_m]Bill[/name_m] and [name_f]Fleur[/name_f]'s eldest daughter at the end of [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m], so this name always makes me think of my favorite series.

I like [name_f]Victoire[/name_f], though I’ll prefer [name_f]Victoria[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Victoire[/name_f], just not so much how it sounds in non-[name_m]French[/name_m] accents (so I think it’s better off in the MN spot in English-speaking countries for that reason.) I like that it’s softer and less catty-sounding than [name_f]Victoria[/name_f], but still retains its strength.

I love [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Victoire[/name_f]! The names balance each other out perfectly but the combo is still cohesive since they’re both [name_m]French[/name_m]. Gorgeous.

This is my thoughts exactly. I love it, but it would be hard pronunciation wise in the first spot. But as a middle it is totally awesome.
