[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! I have three lovely boys- [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] and am due with a girl at the end of the year. I think I will probably go with [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as the first name. It’s a name I’ve been in love with since pregnant with [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and I think it fits perfectly with my boys. Middle names are proving to be a struggle though! I want something pretty, vintage but not too out there (also not too common either eg. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]). [name_f]Rose[/name_f] seems to be a difficult name to find a match for because it’s one syllable. Here’s what I’ve come up with so far:
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]- I love this but worried about it being two word/colour names?
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] ([name_u]Lou[/name_u]-see-a)- liking this a lot. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the nn [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]- seems possibly too trendy?
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Adelina[/name_f]- very pretty but not sure.

From your list I like [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] the most but feel [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] flows best.

[name_f]My[/name_f] temptation would be to swap [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] for [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] - partly for the meaning and partly because of the rose/citrus thing going on for me mentally when I hear [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f].
I also know a [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and I love that combo. [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is a classic that never really goes in or out as far as I’m concerned, but certainly isn’t anywhere near [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] for constant use in combos.
Your list IS very beautiful but [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] is if anything more popular than [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] (it’s pretty, though! I love [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]).
I love [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] on its own, but the flow is off with [name_f]Rose[/name_f] for me.
Other options if you don’t mind me doing this:
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f] - [name_m]Just[/name_m] a far rarer option than [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], though both are beautiful

[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] - Another option for [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u].
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] - [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] fits the mold of pretty, vintage, not too out-there to a tee for me. The only downside to it is, as a FN, the popularity of [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]/[name_f]Isabella[/name_f]. So it’s perfect as a middle.
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] Lucelia - I prefer this to [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] but love the nn option of [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u]

Thank you for all the suggestions. I love [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] but a friend just had a baby and called her [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] so not sure I could use it now. I like the sound and feel of it though. I also like [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] but knew a [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] a few years back who ended up being quite crazy so there’s a strong association to her! I’m also liking The suggestion of [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and possibly [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] but not sure that [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] fits our family somehow??
I also like the suggestion of [name_f]Arabella[/name_f]. I also think I don’t mind seraphina. What does everyone think of [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]? Does it work at all?
I don’t mind [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] but I do know a [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] and have very strong associations of her when I think of [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] so I think that’s out for me.
