Vintage Muslim names that sound Western for a girl

I am in desperate need of an old fashioned name that is Muslim but sounds western for a girl.

Names Like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] and [name_u]Vivian[/name_u], I do also like [name_f]Lola[/name_f], it’s a very cute name.

I can’t stand A & S names, sorry I just know too many [name_f]Aliya[/name_f]'s and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]'s. I have heard of [name_f]Kamilah[/name_f] but it sadly reminds me of the Duchess of Cornwall, which is not a good thing.

I doubt I’ll find the perfect name but I thought why not give Nameberry a chance.

Can you clarify what you mean by “vintage Muslim” names? To the best of my knowledge [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], and [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] have no ties to Islam, so I’m a bit confused about what you’re asking for.

Are you looking for names straight from the Koran? Or is there a specific culture (Arabic, Persian, Pakistani) with Muslim ties that you are looking for? For example, Persian names are exceptionally beautiful but are not necessarily Muslim names.

Finding an Arabic or Persian name that sounds vintage in the UK is difficult since there are few crossover names. I thought of [name_f]Aida[/name_f] and [name_f]Alma[/name_f] but both begin with A so they don’t fulfill your criteria.

[name_f]Marjan[/name_f], Parvin, [name_f]Nasrin[/name_f], Miral, Lamis, [name_u]Isra[/name_u], Haifa and Hanin are some of my favourite Arabic and Persian names, but none really sound vintage from a British perspective. I hope you find the perfect name.
