I prefer [name_f]Violet[/name_f].

I love both, but [name_f]Violet[/name_f] always slightly sounds like “violent” to me. I prefer [name_f]Iris[/name_f]; the sound is lovely and has multiple beautiful connotations: the Greek goddess of the rainbow, the flower, and the connection to vision and sight.

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] for me! I love both (as I do most floral names!), but I adore [name_f]Violet[/name_f] up front. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] I’d be much more likely to use as a MN. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] flowers are absolutely gorgeous, though!

[name_f]Iris[/name_f] is just gorgeous. I love the long I and the -s ending, and the “rainbow” meaning.

I think she fits in with so many trends too, being floral, short & sweet, and a renewed oldie, so she’s perfect for modern use ([name_f]Violet[/name_f] does too, however, I find [name_f]Violet[/name_f] to have become so common now it’s lost it’s lustre a little for me).
