[name]Just[/name] found out a few days ago that we are having a baby girl. I have come up with a few names that I like, but not sure any of them are quite what I’m looking for. Im hoping for some opinions and suggestions after seeing how amazing you all are at names. Our three year old is named [name]Autumn[/name] [name]Indigo[/name], which my Husband and I both love.

I don’t want it to be too hippy dippy, although my list may not exactly reflect that! Our last name is a Czech name that is never pronounced correctly, so we would like to keep the FN recognizable to most people.

First names:
[name]Gwyneth[/name] ( I like the feel of this one, but our last name has two Y’s, is it too much?)

Middle Names:

[name]Feel[/name] free to go crazy with suggestions, I’m impressionable!

I’m not a fan of either [name]Fern[/name] or [name]Gwyneth[/name], but [name]Sienna[/name] & [name]Violet[/name] are beautiful! [name]Both[/name] are on my own list.

[name]Sienna[/name] [name]Iris[/name] is gorgeous as is [name]Sienna[/name] [name]Mae[/name]
[name]Violet[/name] goes great with [name]Mae[/name] & [name]Fern[/name], but I’d choose [name]Fern[/name] as its more unusual.

So [name]Sienna[/name] [name]Iris[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] [name]Fern[/name] would be my picks!

I like the thought of [name]Violet[/name] [name]Mae[/name] or [name]Scarlett[/name] [name]Ivy[/name]!

Congrats on your baby girl! From your list, I like [name]Violet[/name] the best with [name]Autumn[/name] [name]Indigo[/name]. [name]Violet[/name] [name]Mae[/name] (vintage) and [name]Violet[/name] [name]Fern[/name] (nature) would both be great combos. Here are some other suggestions. Good luck, [name]Mischa[/name].
[name]Charis[/name] (kar-is)

Middle Names
[name]June[/name] / [name]Juniper[/name]

I love [name]Violet[/name] [name]Mae[/name]!

Thanks so much for the opinions and suggestions, love it!

I really like [name]Violet[/name] the most from my list, with [name]Sienna[/name] as the runner up. Not sure how Husband will feel about these, he didn’t like any that I chose for our first daughter…

Thank You, I really like,

Keep the suggestions coming, perhaps more of the vintage style.

I love [name]Violet[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Sienna[/name] and id probably pick [name]Mae[/name] for the middle name of all three of those options!

Oh wow, I love [name]Autumn[/name] [name]Indigo[/name]. [name]Both[/name] of those names are on my short list and they sound fantastic together!
From your list, I actually like [name]Gwyneth[/name] best, but if it looks strange with your last name then maybe that won’t make the cut.
I also like pp’s suggestion of [name]Violet[/name] [name]Fern[/name].

Suggestions: (sorry for repeats)

[name]Autumn[/name] [name]Indigo[/name] is so awesome!

I love all your names except I’m not crazy about [name]Sienna[/name]. Sorry but it sounds trashy to me.

[name]Violet[/name] [name]Fern[/name] is so gorgeous!

Thanks Again for the help! I’m due in [name]October[/name], so I’ve got awhile to think about it.

@[name]Nicole[/name]: I was worried about [name]Sienna[/name] being perceived as trashy.

Also thanks on the compliments of our daughters name, my Husband picked [name]Autumn[/name] first and [name]Indigo[/name] was my choice to go with it. It does put some pressure on us to come up with a beautiful name for this little girl too!

Definitely [name]Sienna[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] or [name]Sienna[/name] [name]Iris[/name]!

I think all these names are lovely! I do think maybe steer away from [name]Gwyneth[/name] if your last name already has two 'y’s. Are you attracted to the ‘[name]Gwen[/name]’ or the ‘Eth’ sound - perhaps [name]Gwendolen[/name]/[name]Guinevere[/name] or [name]Elspeth[/name] (or [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Beth[/name], etc but I feel that these may be too traditional?)
My other suggestions would be to steer away from pairing colour first names like [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Scarlet[/name] with nature middle names like [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Fern[/name] because paired together they sound like a description - ie. ‘red/purple plant’ - hope that made sense haha!
best!

[name]Hi[/name] Tamtam,
I just had to comment on your post because my husband and I have just decided to try for baby #2. We know what we would call a boy, so we’re trying to figure out what to name a girl. [name]Autumn[/name], and [name]Indigo[/name] are on my list! Our daughter is called [name]Willow[/name] [name]Allegra[/name].

From your list, I just love [name]Violet[/name], and think it sounds great with [name]Autumn[/name]. I also love the suggestion on [name]Gwendolen[/name].

If you do like some of the more vintage names, have you thought about [name]Savannah[/name], [name]Ruby[/name], or [name]Beatrix[/name]?

[name]Hi[/name] - love your list!
I like [name]Iris[/name] or [name]Ivy[/name] as a first name for your little girl.
Another name that came to mind was [name]Ruby[/name]. (I just saw that the pp suggested [name]Ruby[/name], also!)
[name]Ruby[/name] [name]Celeste[/name] would be beautiful! Also, how about [name]Susannah[/name], instead of [name]Sienna[/name]?

Oh, I love the name [name]Susanna[/name] too. You can always use [name]Zanna[/name]/[name]Zannie[/name] for a nn if you don’t like suzy. [name]Susanna[/name] [name]Mae[/name] really flows, and [name]Susanna[/name] [name]Fern[/name] does as well. Good luck!
