I love the name [name]Vivian[/name] “[name]Vivi[/name]” [name]Joyce[/name] ([name]Joyce[/name] is after my grandma). Unfortunately, my husband does not love [name]Vivian[/name]. Not even a little. He likes the nickname [name]Vivi[/name] but he prefers to use [name]Vivi[/name] as just that, a nickname. He would like a different name for a first name. I am stumped. I have not been able to come up with any good options to use [name]Vivi[/name] for. Please help!
I am due [name]April[/name] 3 with out first child. We have chosen to not find out baby’s gender and are prepared with a great boy name, but still need some help with a girl name!
[name]Genevieve[/name] was my first idea, too. I think [name]Viviana[/name] is lovely, too, but maybe it’s too close to [name]Vivian[/name] for him? I also like [name]Viviette[/name], and I think [name]Violet[/name] could easily get the nn [name]Vivi[/name] (or [name]Viola[/name], or [name]Vienna[/name]…).
I agree that [name]Genevieve[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Vienna[/name] and [name]Viola[/name] are nice. [name]Vivi[/name] might not be a bad name on it’s own. I like it better than the others you are pondering.
I’ve always thought [name]Vivi[/name] works well as a nn for [name]Verity[/name] (in the same way [name]Lulu[/name] is a nn for [name]Louisa[/name]) for maybe even [name]Valerie[/name] or any other name with ‘vee’ sounds.
