I chose [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] but I also love [name_m]Penn[/name_m]. The reason I chose [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] over [name_m]Penn[/name_m] is because I think of [name_m]Penn[/name_m] Badgley when I hear [name_m]Penn[/name_m], but I think of [name_f]Laura[/name_f] Ingalls [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] when I hear [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]. I have nothing against [name_m]Penn[/name_m] Badgley or Gossip Girl, and admittedly I’ve never read [name_m]Little[/name_m] House on the [name_u]Prairie[/name_u], but I prefer literary associations to celebrity ones.
I like [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] but not [name_m]Kip[/name_m] (prefer [name_u]Kit[/name_u]). After that, [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] or [name_m]Cooper[/name_m]. I’d prefer [name_m]Penn[/name_m] as a middle.
My favorites are [name_m]Cooper[/name_m] and [name_m]Penn[/name_m]. They aren’t [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] I feel would be better as a middle name if anything. I find it hard imagining a professional named [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] at it not being their last name. [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] is nice but there are so many out there and [name_u]Kit[/name_u] I only like for a girl.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] tbh none of these are quite my style-- but out of the four, [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] is narrowly my favorite. I think of Call of the [name_m]Wild[/name_m] and the outdoors. Hiking the Appalachian trail and going kayaking and using Nalgenes and being cold and sleeping on the ground. The kind of kid who is going to try to get you to sign a petition outside of Whole Foods and have a string of girlfriends with pink hair named [name_f]Willow[/name_f] and [name_u]Sage[/name_u] and take a year off in the middle of college to “find himself.” I agree with pp: it’s hard to imagine [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] with a serious job.
[name_m]Penn[/name_m] makes me think of [name_m]Penn[/name_m] Badgeley, whom I have nothing against. I just have a particular associations with the characters he has played. But I can picture [name_m]Penn[/name_m] applying to college and getting a job. I knew a cooper and i did not have a fond impression of him-- however he graduated from a great school and has a good job. And I like [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] as a name but I prefer [name_u]Kit[/name_u] or [name_u]Chris[/name_u] as nicknames, not [name_m]Kip[/name_m]. [name_m]Kip[/name_m] seems like he would get beaten up after tennis lessons. For that matter, [name_u]Kit[/name_u] might as well. I know tons of guys named [name_u]Chris[/name_u] who are successful. I don’t know any Kits or Kips.
[name_m]Wilder[/name_m], by far! It’s a great name!

I voted for [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]. I don’t have any feelings toward [name_m]Cooper[/name_m] and [name_m]Penn[/name_m], but I can’t stand [name_m]Wilder[/name_m].
I voted for [name_u]Cooper[/name_u], but close behind that is [name_u]Wilder[/name_u], then [name_u]Christopher[/name_u]. Not a fan of [name_m]Penn[/name_m] at all. For [name_m]Christopher[/name_m], I prefer the nn [name_u]Chris[/name_u] to [name_m]Kip[/name_m], [name_u]Kit[/name_u], etc.
I’m not fond of [name_f]Copper[/name_f] as a first name. It rhymes with pooper. [name_m]Penn[/name_m] is just odd to me. I am okay with [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] and [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]. Some other names you might like:

I don’t like [name_m]Cooper[/name_m] at all and I only like [name_m]Penn[/name_m] in the middle spot. I like [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] but only with the nickname ‘[name_u]Kit[/name_u]’ rather than [name_m]Kip[/name_m]. But I do love the name [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], and I think maybe [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_m]Penn[/name_m] might be nice?
[name_m]Wilder[/name_m] is my favorite! I wish my DH would’ve liked it. [name_m]Penn[/name_m] would be my other pick.
I’m personally not big on [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] or [name_m]Cooper[/name_m].
I chose [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] (and I love [name_m]Kip[/name_m]!) because I tend to gravitate towards more timeless, non-trendy names. [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] (or any nn he/you choose) can go through a lifetime. The other names, to me, are more kiddo-type names.
