Looking for names with a soft sound that are pronounced EXACTLY the same in [name_f]English[/name_f] and Spanish. Therefore, will probably need to avoid letters like J, R, Z, H, I….for example, [name_f]Zoé[/name_f] wouldn’t work since it’s (so-AY) in Spanish and (ZO- ee) in [name_f]English[/name_f]. I’m ok with popular names but [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is a bit too on the nose.
Names that WON’T work (pronunciation-wise or just already exists in the family) -
- Elena/Eliana
- [name_f]Alana[/name_f]
- [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
- [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]
- [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
- [name_f]Camila[/name_f]
- Ava/Eva
- [name_f]Diana[/name_f]
- [name_f]Ana[/name_f]
- [name_f]Ella[/name_f]
- [name_f]Mia[/name_f]
- [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]
- [name_f]Ariana[/name_f]
- [name_f]Leah[/name_f]
Some that would work but I’m not sure about:
- Amaya/Anaya
- [name_f]Esme[/name_f]
- [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f]
- [name_f]Aliya[/name_f]
- [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] (pronounced the same in both but spelling might throw off Spanish speakers)
- [name_f]Sofía[/name_f]
- Lucy/Lucia
