Water Themed Girl Names

Hello all, I’m an author in need of help naming a character. I, for the life of me, can’t decide on one, so I’m turning to the internet for help. Here’s a very small peak about the book, so hopefully it’ll help.

The book is about teen mom, Addison (16/17), who gives her daughter up for adoption. The story follows their journey of finding each other, and reconnecting.

I’m really wanting a name related to water, lakes, rivers, ect, but not necessarily the ocean if that makes sense, as Addison’s love of water plays heavily into their reunion. I’m also looking for a name that a teen would use, other than the standard Lake (/lyn,lee), River, Aqua.

I don’t use hard dates, but she would have been born in the early 2000s.

All help is appreciated, thank you! -Jo

Names I can imagine being used by a teen (anyone really) at that time: [name_u]Madison[/name_u], [name_u]Ashley[/name_u], [name_u]Abby[/name_u], [name_f]Brianna[/name_f], [name_f]Hayley[/name_f] etc.

But water themed:

[name_u]Dylan[/name_u]
[name_f]Marnie[/name_f]
[name_f]Maya[/name_f]
Jenna/ [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] (whoa might be perfect)
[name_f]Kaia[/name_f] (again!)
[name_f]Marlee[/name_f] (can imagine a teen choosing this)
[name_f]Tahnee[/name_f] / [name_f]Tarni[/name_f]
[name_f]Locklyn[/name_f]
[name_u]Kendall[/name_u]
[name_f]Coralie[/name_f]
[name_u]Teal[/name_u] (could be good if want a word name)
[name_u]Waverly[/name_u] (not water themed but could be a teen way to get “wave” in there)
[name_u]Brooke[/name_u] / [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Cascade[/name_f]
[name_u]Harbor[/name_u]
[name_u]Delta[/name_u]

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] that helps!

I can imagine [name_u]Addison[/name_u] naming her daughter something like [name_u]Brooke[/name_u] - meaning stream or Aqualina?

The plot of your story sounds very interesting!
