Way to honor Katherine on a boy?

Is there any way to [name]Honor[/name] the name [name]Katherine[/name] on a baby boy???

I thought about [name]Kit[/name] but wondering if anyone else has any other ideas??

Thanks!

I know a [name]Kit[/name].

only other name I can think of is [name]Kai[/name].

If you’re open to less common names, [name]Cathan[/name] is an Irish boys name that sounds alike to [name]Katherine[/name]/[name]Catherine[/name].

What about [name]Thane[/name]? It’s interesting and a bit unusual. Or [name]Kane[/name], which is cool but maybe a bit more controversial.

There’s also [name]Aaron[/name] with a very similar sound to the second syllable.

My thought was [name]Lion[/name]. Or maybe even [name]Leo[/name]. A fairly common nn for [name]Katherine[/name] is [name]Kat[/name] (at least, I’m hearing it everywhere lately! Much more often than [name]Kate[/name], [name]Katie[/name], [name]Kit[/name]/[name]Kitty[/name], or any of the other options!), and cat to lion makes a nice transition, imo. I think [name]Cathan[/name], [name]Thane[/name], and [name]Aaron[/name] are lovely alternatives, too, though. Maybe you could use initials?

My first thought was [name]Kit[/name] too…
I was reading the blogs yesterday about nicknames… and [name]Kit[/name] is the British nn for [name]Christopher[/name], but also emerged as a nickname for [name]Katherine[/name]. [name]Kristopher[/name] if you’re into creative spellings.

But a [name]Christopher[/name] called [name]Kit[/name] would work for me. though I like the above suggestions of [name]Thane[/name] and [name]Aaron[/name].

Honestly, my first thought was [name]Aaron[/name] (similar sound in the end, but it is kind of a stretch). I like the suggestion of [name]Kai[/name].

In addition to what’s already been posted, I like [name]Theon[/name], Kite (a kind of bird, and a very cool, freewheeling name), [name]Ren[/name], [name]Robin[/name], [name]Kaine[/name], [name]Cashel[/name], [name]Kael[/name], [name]Thorstan[/name] and [name]Byron[/name] (both definitely a stretch).

[name]Theron[/name], [name]Caius[/name], [name]Cade[/name], [name]Cato[/name]?

I like the idea of using [name]Cato[/name], especially since it’s only a letter off of [name]Cate[/name], a spelling variation of [name]Kate[/name], which is short for [name]Katherine[/name].

I’d go with [name]Theron[/name]

I think [name]Kane[/name] and [name]Tate[/name] are suitable masculine names to honor [name]Katherine[/name].

Someone already suggested this, but I was thinking [name]Cade[/name], too. I love the name [name]Cade[/name] for a boy. The only drawback I think is that people may hear [name]Cate[/name].

Another option is to go with a name that shares [name]Catherine[/name]'s origin (Greek) or meaning (pure).

Some boys’ names that mean pure are:
[name]Cato[/name] (kind of cool, I think)
Catarino (perhaps a bit out there)
[name]Zachary[/name], [name]Zach[/name] (classic, in the same style as [name]Catherine[/name])
[name]Zaccheus[/name]
