i asked about peoples thoughts on it as a standalone name, and a lot of people seemed to think of either a vacumn cleaner, hair grips, or a pokemon character(?) So i was wondering about it as a nn instead, full names can be far fetched, and they need to be for a girl
Hmm…[name_f]Kira[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] maybe?
[name_u]Kimberly[/name_u] nn [name_u]Kirby[/name_u] ?
Off topic, but I think [name_u]Kirby[/name_u] is a fine stand alone name! I know a boy by the name [name_u]Kirby[/name_u] and its always seemed like an unusual and cool choice to me for either gender.
I think [name_u]Kirby[/name_u] is a fine stand alone name as well! Though I think most people would find it useable for boys and longer boy names, I do believe it can work for girls as well.
I think [name_f]Kirsten[/name_f] is a full name that support [name_u]Kirby[/name_u] as a nickname extremely well. [name_u]Kiernan[/name_u] also works well, as does [name_f]Kira[/name_f] / [name_f]Keira[/name_f], since I could see [name_u]Kirby[/name_u] being adopted as a pet name among close friends and family.
Though I do think other popular, longer K names work as full names for [name_u]Kirby[/name_u], I find most of them to be a bit of a stretch since they don’t have the same first syllable sound or already have popular built in nicknames (like [name_u]Kim[/name_u]). [name_m]Even[/name_m] [name_u]Kiernan[/name_u] has [name_f]Nancy[/name_f] as a built in nickname and names like [name_f]Kira[/name_f] / [name_f]Keira[/name_f] seem too short to justify [name_u]Kirby[/name_u] as a common everyday nickname (but like I said before, I think these names are a bit easier to apply [name_u]Kirby[/name_u] to). I think the only other K name with an already built in nickname that could be more easily justified to have [name_u]Kirby[/name_u] as a nickname is the name [name_f]Kimber[/name_f] since it is more uncommon and less traditional than either [name_f]Kimberley[/name_f] or [name_u]Kim[/name_u].
If you don’t mind smoosh names I think Kirabel/Kirabelle is kinda cute.
But as most have already said, [name_u]Kirby[/name_u] is fine as a stand alone name. It is nms, but I did work with a girl named [name_u]Kirby[/name_u] who was absolutely gorgeous so even though it’s unisex, I know a girl could definately pull it off.
Got this from Scream 4? Hehe
sorry, i’m not sure i understand?
Kirbyn or Kirbynn is feminine and could be called [name_u]Kirby[/name_u],
like [name_f]Robyn[/name_f] could be called [name_u]Robby[/name_u].
[name_u]Kirby[/name_u] isn’t a pokemon, it’s a whole other game.
You could go with [name_f]Kira[/name_f], [name_f]Kaley[/name_f], or Korinna
