I am looking for some options on getting to nickname [name]Sally[/name].
I apprecriate any suggestions, but I like sophisticated & unique names. Like [name]Solange[/name] is my favorite that I’ve come up with, but that is a close friend’s ex and it would be kinda weird if we actually used it!
[name]Sarah[/name] is the classic way so I suppose a variant like [name]Sarai[/name], Sarabeth, Sarabelle, Sarabella, [name]Sarita[/name], [name]Sarina[/name] might be reasonable enough.
If you’re stretching really far some other [name]Sol[/name] names are [name]Soledad[/name], [name]Marisol[/name], [name]Solana[/name], [name]Solina[/name], [name]Solenne[/name], but I find it kind of strange to get [name]Sally[/name] from them.
Maybe a name containing sa and a middle starting with L and/or containing lee?
I see what you mean, up to a point. But Saraya’s rare enough, I don’t intuitively think [name]Raya[/name] for it. [name]Even[/name] [name]Mariah[/name] which is much more familiar, I don’t think of [name]Riah[/name] as a nickname, or anything really. Honestly historical nicknames for [name]Mary[/name] are more intuitive for it than [name]Riah[/name], to me.
[name]Salome[/name] just occurred to me. Too loaded a history for me, but it has a beautiful sound and could probably work.
Yeah I can see that too :/. So tricky!
Thought to do something new -

[name]Salina[/name] is pretty…random Kansas place name though.
[name]Do[/name] you think [name]Cecilia[/name] nn [name]Sally[/name] is crazy? I’ve never really thought of [name]Sally[/name] for [name]Cecilia[/name], but I’ve always loved both…

Salida – happiness

[name]Cecilia[/name] called [name]Sally[/name] isn’t crazy! Or if it is, you’re not alone in that particular loony bin, I’m right there with you.
Another option might be something along the lines of [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Alix[/name] or [name]Susanne[/name] [name]Althea[/name], though they’re a little difficult to say
my friend’s mom was sally. she was an amazing woman. after she passed, my friend named her daughter sally. she is the coolest; kick ass at sports, gorgeous, and smart! maybe just sally?
[name]Sarina[/name] is a variant/dimunitive of [name]Sarah[/name] that’s fairly distinctive (also, sadly, almost unused at this point) and would break down to [name]Sally[/name] as well as the classic [name]Sarah[/name]-to-[name]Sally[/name] nickname works. [name]Sarita[/name] could work too, and is perky and femme. [name]Sarita[/name] is also a form of [name]Sarah[/name].
[name]Sally[/name] is pretty adorable as a nickname.
