Ways To Honor Brenda

[name]Brenda[/name] is my mother’s name and when I start a family, I would [name]LOVE[/name] to honor her. However, I like unusual and very weird names which is a must. Mom likes the name [name]Brendan[/name], but that feels too trendy and popular.

The middle name will be [name]James[/name] which will be honoring both of my grandfathers. That stays.

So it would be ________ [name]James[/name] than last name is 2-syllables that rhymes with business.

If you like [name]Brendan[/name] [name]James[/name], convince me to use it in the future. If not, I would love to see your suggestions. (:

I would like girl suggestions too to honor [name]Brenda[/name]! The middle name would be [name]Ann[/name] for a little girl. [name]Do[/name] you have any way to spazz up the name [name]Ann[/name]?

What about the name [name]Brenner[/name] for a little boy? I think it is very nice, and definitely uncommon. Not as close to [name]Brenda[/name] as [name]Brendan[/name], but still pretty close! It also think that [name]Brenner[/name] [name]James[/name] flows nicely.

Some ways to spice up [name]Ann[/name]:
[name]Ansley[/name]
[name]Annaliese[/name]
[name]Annabeth[/name]
[name]Annabell[/name]
[name]Annika[/name]
Aniston
[name]Andria[/name]
[name]Antoinette[/name]
[name]Annalie[/name]
[name]Leanna[/name]
[name]Breanna[/name]
[name]Gianna[/name]
[name]Savannah[/name]

Is her maiden name usable? If not, maybe [name]Bryn[/name]?

That’s really sweet dear that you want to honor your mother. You seem like a good daughter. I’d suggest [name]Brett[/name] or [name]Brice[/name] since [name]Brenda[/name] is Celtic and the others I gave you are too.

I actually prefer [name]Brennan[/name] to [name]Brendan[/name]… not sure if that makes a difference to you.
Also I have always kind of liked [name]Bren[/name] on it’s own. It’s cute and a little trendy but at the same time I could see it paired with more quirky and/or classic names like [name]Oscar[/name] or [name]Remy[/name].
Some other choices that are a little less popular or trendy that are similar to [name]Brenda[/name] for a boy:
[name]Behan[/name]
[name]Bernard[/name]
[name]Brant[/name]

You could also choose something that has the same or similar meaning to [name]Brenda[/name]. Or something that shares a lot of letters with [name]Brenda[/name]. ([name]Benjamin[/name], nn [name]Ben[/name]?)

For a girl I like [name]Rena[/name], [name]Brenna[/name], [name]Bryn[/name], [name]Beatrice[/name]/[name]Beatrix[/name] nn [name]Bea[/name] ?

Good luck!

[name]Brendan[/name] [name]James[/name] or [name]Brennan[/name] [name]James[/name] are nice but I do see what you mean about them not going perfectly with your style. I can’t seem to think of any good boys ideas for you though. : /

For girls:
[name]Wren[/name]
Wrenna
[name]Bronte[/name]
[name]Brenna[/name]
[name]Briony[/name]

[name]Briony[/name] [name]Ann[/name] or [name]Bronte[/name] [name]Ann[/name] are my favorites, although I am not sure they are close enough to [name]Brenda[/name] for your liking.

[name]Brendan[/name] [name]James[/name] is a great name, I like it a lot. It’s a classic Irish name and nowhere as trendy as, say, [name]Aiden[/name] or [name]Mason[/name].

more ideas:

[name]Brennan[/name] [name]James[/name]
[name]Breccan[/name] [name]James[/name]
Brendanus [name]James[/name]
Brennus / Breno [name]James[/name]

[name]Brecken[/name] [name]James[/name]

[name]Briana[/name] [name]Ann[/name]
[name]Brenna[/name] [name]Ann[/name]
[name]Bridget[/name] [name]Ann[/name]
Bríde [name]Ann[/name]
[name]Bryony[/name] [name]Ann[/name]

for [name]Ann[/name]:

[name]Anne[/name] (I just think it looks more complete)
[name]Anna[/name]
[name]Annabelle[/name]
[name]Anneliese[/name]
[name]Annora[/name]
[name]Annis[/name]
[name]Annika[/name]
Annoushka

@[name]Kiele[/name] - I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Brenner[/name]! [name]Brenner[/name] [name]James[/name] has flow and has my unusual taste I wanted. Thank you!

@southern.maple - I don’t want to use [name]Sullivan[/name] because I know she’d probably think it would be too weird to have her grandson named after her maiden name! Lol. I like [name]Bryn[/name] because that means I can have a long middle name since [name]Bryn[/name] is only one syllable!

@mommydearest - I like [name]Brice[/name] and [name]Brett[/name]. However, my dads’ cousin’s name is [name]Brett[/name] and since we’re close, I wouldn’t want to use it. [name]Brice[/name] is another matter and I’ll definitely have to consider it. [name]Brice[/name] [name]James[/name] is too cute. (: Although, I’m worried about teasing since [name]Brice[/name] is basically almost saying [name]Rice[/name].

@silver - If I name him [name]Brennan[/name] (which I’m very seriously thinking about besides [name]Brenner[/name] now), his nickname would most likely be [name]Bren[/name]. I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Brenner[/name] [name]James[/name] and [name]Brennan[/name] [name]James[/name]. They’re both exactly what I wanted. Also, I’m sold on [name]Beatrix[/name]. It’s becoming more popular, but it’s so cute and I love the nickname. Also, I’m a huge syllable dweeb when it comes to names. I can’t have a fn and a mn to be the same syllables. Like [name]Bryn[/name] [name]Ann[/name], I can’t do it. [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Ann[/name] fits what I want.

@sunshine.10 - With [name]Brennan[/name] being so close to [name]Brendan[/name], it would seem like I wouldn’t like it, but weirdly, I do. [name]Brennan[/name] [name]James[/name] has a flow I really like and the syllable count is great. I really, really like [name]Bronte[/name] from your list. And I really, really, really like [name]Bronte[/name] [name]Ann[/name]. All those ‘really’ s show how immature I am, huh? Lol.

So far, it’s come down to three names for the girls and boys.

Boys List:

  • [name]Brenner[/name] [name]James[/name]
  • [name]Brennan[/name] [name]James[/name]
  • [name]Brice[/name] [name]James[/name]

Girls List;

  • [name]Bryn[/name] Ansely/[name]Annabeth[/name]/[name]Annalie[/name]
  • [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Ann[/name]
  • [name]Bronte[/name] [name]Ann[/name]

I really love all of these and it’ll be hard to decide, but at least I have a few more years until it really matters! Thank you everyone for posting on this thread. Means a lot. I want to honor somebody who is more of a superhero than Superman could ever be. That’s just facts.

No more mushy stuff, I promise. (: What do you think of three middle names. I see it a lot on NameBerry and was wondering how exactly do you do that? Lol. Without it looking like a mess. For example: [name]Brenner[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] [name]James[/name]. What does that look like?

My mom loves [name]Brendan[/name], but since it’s my child, I want to use [name]Brendan[/name] as a base to get to what I love. Also, do you think [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Julianne[/name] would be too long of a name? Or maybe [name]Bryn[/name] [name]Julianne[/name]. Since mom really likes [name]Julianne[/name], that’s a definite possibility.

I like [name]Brennan[/name] much better than [name]Brenner[/name] - or just [name]Bren[/name]! [name]Bren[/name] is one of the few names that i think works well on both a boy or a girl. [name]Bren[/name] [name]James[/name] or [name]Bren[/name]/[name]Bryn[/name] [name]Julianne[/name](or [name]Annika[/name] or something like that) gets my vote.

@makaylaerin Yay! I am glad you like it! I love boys names that end in “er” but unfortunately my last name ends with “er,” so most names sound a little strange. I think [name]Brennan[/name] is also a nice name, but I prefer [name]Brenner[/name], but that might be because [name]Brennan[/name] reminds me of [name]Will[/name] [name]Ferrell[/name] from “Step Brothers” hahah! good luck!

My friend gave his son the double mn [name]Brendan[/name] [name]James[/name] and I think it’s very handsome. I love the suggestions of [name]Bryony[/name] and [name]Bronte[/name]. [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Julianne[/name] is beautiful and flows nicely, sometimes long names can be a mouthful but I don’t think this one is. I also like [name]Brynn[/name] Juilianne or [name]Bryn[/name] [name]Julianna[/name]. Also, I just wanted to say [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Anne[/name] is delightful and I prefer [name]Brennan[/name] to [name]Brenner[/name].

My husband’s name is [name]Brendan[/name] and it really isn’t that common… I admit what attracted me to him was his name since I had never heard of it till I met him. I’ve heard of [name]Brandon[/name] a ton of times, but never met a [name]Brendan[/name]. Apparently he does know 2 [name]Brendan[/name]'s, 1 spells it wrong though and the other is a friend of his eldest sister (10 years difference), so quite a time/age difference.

The downside, most people will say/spell it like [name]Brandon[/name]… and maybe even [name]Brennan[/name]. Very few get his name right on the first try, took my mom a year to get it down, but her English isn’t the best. She just kept calling him [name]Brandon[/name] and we just had to keep telling her it’s [name]Brendan[/name], lol

For girl suggestions:
Breannon/Briannon
[name]Brianna[/name]
[name]Branwen[/name]
[name]Brenna[/name]

For spicing up [name]Ann[/name]:
[name]Anna[/name]
[name]Annabelle[/name]
[name]Annie[/name]
[name]Annette[/name]
[name]Anastasia[/name]
[name]Andromeda[/name]
[name]Anya[/name]
[name]Annika[/name]
[name]Annistyn[/name]

If you want to go by meaning, [name]Brendan[/name] means “prince” so for a girl you could pick a name meaning “princess” which would be: [name]Sarah[/name]

I think [name]Brennan[/name] [name]James[/name] and [name]Brendan[/name] [name]James[/name] are both nice.

What about [name]Brent[/name], [name]Brenton[/name], [name]Brayden[/name], [name]Braylen[/name] or [name]Bryson[/name], .

Thanks so much everybody for posting on this thread. It really does mean a lot. However, I have my names picked out and I intend to keep them until years to come when I actually get pregnant lol.

For a boy

  • [name]Adrian[/name] [name]Brenner[/name] [name]James[/name] [name]Willis[/name]: Mom and I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Adrian[/name] and [name]Brenner[/name]. And [name]James[/name] represents/honors my two grandfathers. This is the world’s perfect name for me.

For a girl

  • [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Julianne[/name] [name]Willis[/name]: Again, Mom and I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] and [name]Julianne[/name]. [name]Julianne[/name] has [name]Ann[/name] in there which I wanted.

When I start to have children, which is YEARS in the future, my future hubby will have to deal with [name]Brenner[/name] and [name]Julianne[/name]. That’s a must. (:

Thanks so much for your awesome names and helping me decide on how to honor a very important person!!!

Ender would be cool! ([name]BrENDa[/name]) Ender [name]James[/name] has a good flow too! Or [name]Brent[/name]?

Okay as soon as I saw your post I thought [name]Brendan[/name]!
I honestly think [name]Brendan[/name] is really handsome, he sounds so Irish and collective. [name]Brendan[/name] is such a wholesome choice. Also [name]Brendan[/name] honours your mother perfectly I mean [name]Brenda[/name] is just one letter off [name]Brendan[/name]. [name]Brendan[/name] [name]James[/name] is such a brilliant choice, the name has a brilliant stance and looks so dynamic. It’s a brilliant choice, very rural and sweet.

I was going to suggest [name]Brennan[/name] but I someone else has. I really like [name]Brynn[/name] for a girl.
