Ways to honor Linda

[name_f]Linda[/name_f] is my fiancé’s late mother’s name and we both honor her in some way with a name, but I feel it’s a little to mid-century for a modern child and his sister has already used it as a middle name for her daughter. So I was thinking we could consider names that honored [name_f]Linda[/name_f] in some way without using the actual name in itself, I thought maybe [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] and we both like it by neither of us really love it. Not pregnant or ttc just yet, just planning and experimenting.

[name_f]Lindy[/name_f]
[name_u]Lindsey[/name_u]
[name_f]Melinda[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucinda[/name_f]
[name_f]Indira[/name_f]
Adalind

[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] is lovely. I also like the Scandinavian name [name_f]Linnea[/name_f] (lin-NAY-ah) and the Scottish place name Linnhe ([name_f]LIN[/name_f]-ee).

The first one that came to mind would be [name_u]Linden[/name_u].

Also;
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucinda[/name_f]
[name_f]Indy[/name_f]

[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] is my fav!

you could also use the meaning of the name (soft, tender or beautiful) to find names that have a similar meaning but that are completely different in sound.

My first thoughts were [name_f]Linnea[/name_f] and [name_f]Lindy[/name_f], though those both have been suggested.

A dear friend of mine just had a little girl that she desperately wanted to name after her late grandmother. Like you, she wasn’t a big fan of the name. Her Grandma owned a flower shop and had a prize winning rose garden. So they named baby [name_f]Rose[/name_f] in honor of grandmas lifelong passion. I wonder if there is something like this that would with for you?

You could use a name with the same meaning as [name_f]Linda[/name_f]. It means “pretty,” so you could use [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] (which has already been suggested), [name_f]Jolie[/name_f], [name_f]Delyth[/name_f], [name_f]Indah[/name_f], [name_f]Nava[/name_f], [name_f]Marini[/name_f], etc., which have the same or similar meanings.

I like [name_f]Lindy[/name_f] & [name_f]Lydia[/name_f].

[name_f]Lin[/name_f] could also work

I like [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] and the other suggestions of [name_f]Lindy[/name_f], [name_f]Melinda[/name_f], and [name_u]Linden[/name_u].

Other suggestions:
