We are trying to find a way to honour my uncle [name_m]Paul[/name_m], but the letter P doesn’t go well with our names. [name_m]Can[/name_m] you think of other names related to [name_m]Paul[/name_m]?
So you don’t want names that have a P in them? [name_m]Raul[/name_m] and [name_m]Saul[/name_m] come to mind immediately.
[name_m]Saul[/name_m] seems like it could work?
Some more stretchy choices that don’t start with P:
[name_m]Apollo[/name_m] (‘pol’ like [name_m]Paul[/name_m] almost?)
[name_m]Roman[/name_m] (Paul comes from a [name_m]Roman[/name_m] family name)
[name_u]Laurie[/name_u] / [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] (LAU - from Paul)
Aulis (-aul from Paul)
Would something like Jean-Paul or John-Paul work, so the initial would be J - or at least not P at the beginning?
[name_u]James[/name_u], [name_u]John[/name_u], [name_m]Matthew[/name_m], Levi… I’m thinking disciples
[name_u]Timothy[/name_u] and [name_m]Paul[/name_m] have a father-son relationship in the [name_u]New[/name_u] Testament so perhaps [name_u]Timothy[/name_u]?
[name_m]Saul[/name_m] comes to mind.
[name_m]Apollo[/name_m] is genius!
[name_m]Leopold[/name_m] in same vein…
-Paul comes from the [name_m]Roman[/name_m] family name Paulus which meant “small” or “humble” [name_m]Canaan[/name_m] could also possibly mean “humble”
-David comes from a Hebrew word that means “beloved” or “uncle” That would be a nice tribute to your own beloved uncle
-a bit of a stretch but maybe other famous Pauls? So something like [name_m]Simon[/name_m] for [name_m]Paul[/name_m] [name_m]Simon[/name_m] or [name_u]Revere[/name_u] for [name_m]Paul[/name_m] [name_u]Revere[/name_u] or [name_m]Newman[/name_m] for [name_m]Paul[/name_m] [name_m]Newman[/name_m]?
-Saint for [name_u]Saint[/name_u] [name_m]Paul[/name_m]
I second [name_m]Raul[/name_m] and [name_m]Saul[/name_m]
