I love the name [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] but I think people will have a hard time spelling it correctly, or even just reading it and pronouncing it right.
Other ideas on how to spell it?
[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] is the most common spelling. I don’t think people will have an issue pronouncing or spelling it.
The second most common spelling is [name_f]Lorelai[/name_f] but when I see that, I want to say lay instead of lie.
The [name_m]Gilmore[/name_m] Girls generation will have no trouble pronouncing [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f]. [name_m]Even[/name_m] if you/your daughter occasionally has to tell someone how to pronounce the name, it will only take once. It’s a lovely name, and I would definitely opt for the traditional spelling.
[name_f]Lorelai[/name_f] is how the character on [name_m]Gilmore[/name_m] Girls spells it.
I like the [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] spelling best by far. If you think people will have trouble pronouncing it, I think that deviating from the most familiar and common spelling will only make it more complicated and create more trouble.
They do spell it [name_f]Lorelai[/name_f] on [name_m]Gilmore[/name_m] Girls, which I’m not really a fan of.
[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] is the correct spelling. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t mess with it!
[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] is the correct spelling. [name_f]Lorelai[/name_f] was used on [name_m]Gilmore[/name_m] Girls. I’ve seen Loreley used in Germany (in reference to the Loreley [name_m]Rock[/name_m]). I think they use the [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] spelling as well, but I prefer Loreley.
