My friend has 2 girls and is due with a boy next month. They cannot agree on a name.
On the table right now is [name_m]Breccan[/name_m] (or [name_m]Breckin[/name_m]). What are your thoughts on this name?
Big sisters are [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. Last name starts with a P and rhymes with [name_m]Larry[/name_m]. Middle name will either be [name_u]James[/name_u] or [name_m]Stewart[/name_m].
P.S. Husband likes [name_m]Austin[/name_m] but it is sooooo close to [name_f]Audrey[/name_f].
Well, [name_m]Breccan[/name_m] has a more distinguished spelling; but [name_m]Breckin[/name_m], a more modern one.
It depends on the parents, but I, personally, prefer [name_m]Breccan[/name_m].
Both mns work fine.
I prefer the [name_m]Breckin[/name_m] spelling as [name_m]Breccan[/name_m] always reminds me of the word brackish (ˈbrakiSH).
But I also pronounce [name_m]Breckin[/name_m] (BREK-in) differently to [name_m]Breccan[/name_m] ('brekAN) so that helps.
[name_m]Breckin[/name_m] and [name_m]Breccan[/name_m] are two different names to me and I definitely prefer [name_m]Breccan[/name_m] especially with sister [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. [name_m]Breckin[/name_m] doesn’t sound nice to me and seems trendy (never heard it in the UK) next to very classic [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f].
I like [name_m]Breccan[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] and definitely prefer the [name_m]Breccan[/name_m] spelling. It looks much more like a classic name and fits much better with [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] than [name_m]Breckin[/name_m] does.
