I just think this name is so classy.
What are your impressions?
Does it go well with brother’s name (Robin)?
I know it has religious ties. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you associate it with those?

[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] was one of my first name loves! She’s so sweet, and I really prefer this spelling to [name_f]Bridgette[/name_f] — [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] feels more sleek & elegant.
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] & [name_u]Robin[/name_u] are adorable together — I really love how [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] could have the nickname [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] to tie in with Robin’s meaning!
It reminds me of GIdget.
I think it’s a lovely name and pairs well with [name_u]Robin[/name_u].
I love it! And it’s perfect with [name_u]Robin[/name_u]. I feel like [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] is sporty and sweet and kind of reminds me of a farmhouse with wildflowers. It’s well known but not at all popular. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.
It goes well with [name_u]Robin[/name_u]! I know a [name_f]Brigid[/name_f], which has much more religious ties to Christianity, in my opinion.
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] is strong, feminine and clunky cute, old lady in vibe but also rugged and adventurous! I wouldn’t see it as particularly religious.
[name_u]Robin[/name_u] and [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] are charming!
I love [name_f]Bridget[/name_f]. [name_u]Light[/name_u] but timeless. Has history of use. Goes well with [name_u]Robin[/name_u]. I do not know of the religious ties to which you refer (is it Catholic, maybe?) so no, I don’t identify it with those.
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] is great. I’ve known a few Bridgets over the years and they’d all be in their 30s, so I don’t think of it as an especially old fashioned name. I also don’t have any personal religious associations. To me it’s an interesting combo of elegant, academic and energetic. Definitely underused and I’d love to see it more. And it goes really well with [name_u]Robin[/name_u].
I always liked that name. I find it a happy, light, spunky name. Here, the [name_u]French[/name_u] equivalent (Brigitte) is considered middle-aged, but I heard it recently on a baby so I think it might be coming back. I have never met a [name_f]Brigitte[/name_f] I didn’t like. I don’t associate [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] with anything particularly religious. If I have to choose an association, it reminds me of novel characters such as [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] [name_m]Jones[/name_m], or [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] in the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants. I think it goes well with [name_u]Robin[/name_u].
I love [name_f]Bridget[/name_f]! It feels sporty, efficient, and sweet, somehow both vintage and contemporary.
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] is gorgeous
Honestly [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] is such a lovely name really classic, timeless, elegant and strong. I love how tailored she feels such a smart distinguished choice. I love the nickname [name_f]Bridey[/name_f] as well I find her so outdoorsy and spirited. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] choice. I also do not think the religious connotations are an immediate issue they do not spring to mind straightaway the only association I have is [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] [name_m]Jones[/name_m].
[name_u]Robin[/name_u] & [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] is an adorable sibling set so classic and unexpected.
I really like [name_f]Bridget[/name_f]. It’s just lovely.
[name_u]Saint[/name_u] [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] (or [name_f]Brighid[/name_f] or [name_f]Brigid[/name_f], depending on what form you want to use) is Ireland’s most famous female saint and she has a lot of folkloric significance. I would expect [name_u]Irish[/name_u] people and maybe devout Catholics in other countries to know of her. But I don’t think non-Irish, non-religious people would know much about her at all.
I think it goes well with [name_u]Robin[/name_u].
