WDYT of DS Kerr?

A good friend of mine after taking years and various IVF treatments to conceive has finally her second child. Her husband and her are “Manhatten-ites” and are very wealthy. He works on [name]Wall[/name] [name]Street[/name] and I’m pretty sure he is an aspiring Trump wannabe.

They have two sons the first is named: [name]Barron[/name] [name]Benedict[/name] [name]Sterling[/name] [name]Jr[/name]. Lastname__ (I know its a mouthful and very crammed and stuffy).

They have just had a second and named him: [name]Kerr[/name] [name]Alexandre[/name] [name]Huffington[/name] Lastname

What do YOU think? [name]Do[/name] they match? Which is better? What kind of image do you get from [name]Kerr[/name]? Is it too feminine? Snobby?

[name]Wanna[/name] hear your thoughts berries! So let me know!

[name]Kerr[/name]? It barely makes a sound. There’s no substance to it. It sounds like “grr” or “brr”…just a vague, echoey sound effect. Not a fan. [name]Barron[/name] [name]Benedict[/name] [name]Sterling[/name] is stuffy, but ADORABLE and classy and refined. It makes me smile. I would never use it–it just wouldn’t fit in with our smalltown, homey lifestyle. But for an upper-crust family, it seems perfect. I think a name like [name]Granville[/name] sounds more their speed than [name]Kerr[/name].

I really like [name]Barron[/name] and [name]Kerr[/name] together, and I kind of like the double ‘r’ thing going on in both names. Individually, I much prefer [name]Kerr[/name] to [name]Barron[/name]. I think [name]Kerr[/name] is short, sweet and very handsome, while the combo [name]Kerr[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] is very handsome.

Hmm, interesting names. [name]Barron[/name] is such a cool name that I can actually see myself using (and I honestly don’t consider myself ‘posh’) but [name]Kerr[/name] is just not my style. It seems a lot more of a feminine name than masculine but everyone is entitled to their own opinions and if its a name they love then why not use it? Congratulations to them!

I agree that [name]Kerr[/name] doesn’t really sound like a first name… no substance/sound to it really. It also unfavourably sounds like “cur”, which is defined as “a mongrel dog, especially a worthless or unfriendly one; a mean, cowardly person.” Not that most people would be familiar with the word, but yeah, not a fan of it as a name.

[name]Kerr[/name] just reminds me of a Cur dog. lol

They’re possibly not the same pronunciation, but that’s what association I have.
Also, in response to pp, a Cur is an actual breed of dog. There’s a few different kinds, but the main ones I know of are the Catahoula Cur and [name]Black[/name] Mouth Cur.

I don’t doubt they’re an actual breed (I’ve heard of them), I just took it from dictionary.com lol.

I definitely get the “Trump wannabe” vibe. The name [name]Kerr[/name] is somewhat awkward to say and I dislike the name [name]Barron[/name]. I like [name]Alexandre[/name] ([name]Alexander[/name]?) and [name]Sterling[/name] but all together the names sound pretentious and stuck up. [name]Just[/name] my thoughts.

[name]Kerr[/name] is just… ugly. I actually don’t mind the rest though. If that’s their style and the image they want, so be it.

I quite like [name]Barron[/name] (even though a family friend had a dog with the name [name]Baron[/name] when I was growing up), [name]Kerr[/name] just seems to lack the same substance as [name]Barron[/name].
