WDYT of Edison Crane?

I adore [name]Edison[/name] as a name. [name]Edison[/name] [name]Crane[/name] sounds neat to me, WDYT?

I love [name]Edison[/name]! [name]Crane[/name] is interesting… it reminds me of, well, cranes (both the birds and the construction tool), and The [name]Red[/name] Badge of Courage (by [name]Stephen[/name] [name]Crane[/name]), which I loved reading in high school. I would think that’d be a good association, anyway. [name]Edison[/name] [name]Crane[/name] sounds very surnamey, but I like it quite a bit!

Did you take this from me?

Yeah…sorry, would you mind? I have been looking for a name for [name]Edison[/name] forever, and I saw your post. It sounds neat, I liked it spelled [name]Crane[/name] like the bird. I don’t know if I’d ever use it I just wanted to see what people thought. I think YOU should use it (I don’t plan on having kids anytime soon).

[name]Just[/name] hurts a little since both have a real personal meaning to me.

I tell you what I’ll change it  I don’t want to take something that means that much to you. Any ideas for [name]Edison[/name] that would go well? I like unusual names.

I really really like [name]Edison[/name] [name]Crane[/name]…for Norseberry. It’s a very significant name to her and I find it a little rude to see a name on here that someone says is important and significant to them and then immediately post a thread about how you want to use it now. I think that’s something to keep to yourself, just saying…

That being said, it is a very cool name and I think if its the bird thing you like, [name]Edison[/name] [name]Finch[/name] and [name]Edison[/name] [name]Hawk[/name] are both pretty cool too. [name]Finch[/name] is a name I’d love to see used.

If it’s the animal thing, [name]Edison[/name] [name]Fox[/name] and [name]Edison[/name] [name]Wolf[/name] are pretty cool too.

Here’s some other suggestions of unusual names that maybe match your style:

[name]Do[/name] you like any of those instead?

I would never do something intentionally to hurt someone else, that’s not who I am. I saw it I liked it and posted it, I didn’t say I wanted to use it, I posted it to see what people thought of it:):. [name]Edison[/name] has always been on my list for a very long time, and also has importance to me.

those were very nice.

I used to think [name]Edison[/name] (after [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Edison[/name]) would be a neat name for a boy. However, then I heard that [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Edison[/name] himself was not a very nice person in some ways.

In particular (from Wikipedia): “he is…notorious for having electrocuted a number of dogs in 1888, both by direct and alternating current, in an attempt to argue that the former (which he had a vested business interest in promoting) was safer than the latter…”

I didn’t think you were doing it intentionally. I honestly didn’t and don’t mean to offend. My point was a little more tact was required maybe.

I’m glad you liked a few of my suggestions. [name]Edison[/name] is a great name and I hope you find a middle name you like!

Oh I wasn’t offended :). Thanks! So far nothing is sticking it’s crazy, lol.
